"Legacy Account" status applies to all characters you create on your account.
"Legacy Character" status only applies to characters that existed prior to ARR. (They have Legacy Tattoos and a special Legacy chocobo mount.)

Actually it's just the tattoo. The Legacy Chocobo applies under "Legacy Account" and all characters created under that account get the mount. I know because I'm legacy, made a new character on Midgardsormr and have the mount. On topic...cant wait for transfers, many characters have been stranded. Sadly a few of my friends have become "set in their ways" and will more than likely not transfer...Congrats to everyone who will finally be reunited though

It would be interesting to know if Legacy or 1.0 character can take advantage of this. I'd look to move my 1.0 character to the server I'm playing on with friends. Also, what the gil cap will be.

I will be doing the same. Until I can move my 1.0 character to the server my friends are on so I can properly enjoy the social experience, I won't pay a subscription.
Hell at this point I wouldn't mind paying a transfer fee. If we don't get the same 5 day free transfer window it won't be the end of the world as long as we do get the opportunity sooner rather than later.

They seem to be following most of FFXI's world transfer service, and it specifies 90 days.

...There are quite a few 1.0 characters that are maxed with all classes and have a lot of materials on them. Which some could and would use this to their advantage by controlling markets. Which in turn would influence the natural progression of the economy of a non legacy server....

What are we going to do, undercut the market on every item until we run out in a month or less? That would definitely cause devastating effects on the universe.

THEY DIDNT FORCE YOU to make a character onto a legacy server or keep using ur 1.0 toon even if they are/arent capped out.

They did force 1.0 characters on to Legacy servers, and I shouldn't have to remake a character and forget about a character I leveled while paying Square-Enix long before any ARR newbies contributed to the game's income.

IF im being "forced" onto one server with a toon i already had on 1.0 and i knew none of my friends played there. it would be obvious to change servers and toon. It wouldnt be as fun and would wait until server transfer for legacy players to use him. Not like if most 1.0's arent maxed out and besides. you really think theyre forcing you to make a new one? no. Its a choice. stay on legacy with crazy lag spikes and QUE times or go to another server and enjoy it more. It's a choice.

U only have to wait abit longer until they fix everything out. They cant just allow everyone and especially people who have been playing for YEARS longer than ARR members.You think that wouldnt effect the market by a heck ton? Apparently you arent seeing what it can do to the whole population onto the server you guys pick. Unless u choose another legacy server where it wouldnt effect the economy as much since its fair game but put urself in a match against a 5yr vet against a month in training enemy. Who will make more money? who will take more of the items? who will make most of the profits? ARR or 1.0? -- SO yoshi-p to fix THIS. he is waiting until economy is more stable so you guys can go to any server you wish. -- most likely before 2.1 patch.
