I just started a new character on new world, the others hopefully that world will ease up a bit in a month or two so I can play them to. It does not take long to start over.
What I'm waiting for now is the service to be so packed and slow that people aren't going to be able to even transfer within those 5 days. I will be trying to use it but I am not holding my breath. Oh well, here's to hoping it goes well..
Thanks SE for the update and the free 5 days!
SE should expect some heavy transfer "congestion" in the 5 free days, so hopefully the free pass will be to anyone who applies during the 5 days, not if you're actually moved. I'm fine with characters being moved after the 5th day due to being "later in line" as long as it's still free if the application was done in time.
Also, I wonder how they'll deal with legacy characters and their friends. They've stated before that a world may not be open for transfers if it's too full. If legacy characters can only move between legacy servers and there's a bunch that brings in some friends from the new servers, the legacy servers may be too full and as a group we can't look at new servers to move to. Maybe take one of the new servers and make it a legacy one...?
Considering there's new people running around with relic +1s and AF2, I think it's safe to move Legacy chars to new servers. The imbalance is vanishing.
This game has been out for a month. (A little more than, but with its issues, I think a month is fair to say.) If a person was max level their first week (unlikely but I'll continue) and somehow grinded their 300 myth marks each week, the most they could have is relic +1 and "a" piece of AF2. Lot different than if you're in the Legacy situation where you literally finished your character's optimization weeks ago and are just using mythology marks to contemplate the meaning of life at this point.Considering there's new people running around with relic +1s and AF2, I think it's safe to move Legacy chars to new servers. The imbalance is vanishing.
Keep 1.0 Players on the legacy servers. If they have friends, the friends can transfer to them. There's no reason people coming into 2.0 with a full character sheet of level 50's have any business going anywhere BUT legacy servers where they can possibly have peers in similar standing.
Let's extend this - keep anyone on a legacy server on a legacy server. New player or 1.0, keep em there - I mean, why only keep 1.0 players on them? Why not everyone on a legacy server? :)Keep 1.0 Players on the legacy servers. If they have friends, the friends can transfer to them. Why do you care is some come on the new player servers?Keep 1.0 Players on the legacy servers. If they have friends, the friends can transfer to them.
