I need server transfer now!

Ever noticed almost all posts by Camate and other Devs start out "I apologize." I think we're all kind of tired of the apologies. The team worked so hard to get this game to start on the scheduled launch date even though the login errors were reported during Beta, yet such a simple thing as world transfer keeps being pushed back.

I apologize that we are starting to leave the beginning of October and head into the middle of the month and that information on the world transfer service is late. The development team is in the midst of finalizing the implementation date, so unfortunately I am not able to inform you of a specific date when this will be available just yet.

I believe we will be able to make announcement very soon about the start date, and I will be sure to let you all know as soon as I can.

And people wonder why Developers do not give a definitive date... It's the nasty fallout that occurs when the Developers find out that they cannot meet it. SE - just do what Blizzard does and don't give out final dates. When it's ready to be done, then it's ready to be done.

I would be curious to find out why it's being held up though - just for general information purposes.

I have a feeling they're trying to stall the transfer service until they upgrade their data centers again.

There is really no excuse for this. They have had a working transfer system since Beta. This is getting to be a damn joke. If everyone who is being affected by this could get all of their guild mates and friends to all freeze their accounts I bet this would happen in a heartbeat.

Still the same ol' Sqare-Enix. I was lead to believe FFXIV was going to be different, but this is exactly what we saw in FFXI for YEARS.
Can we PLEASE get a timeframe of when 1.0 characters will be able to transfer to non-legacy worlds? A month & year, please. "In the future" is not good enough.

Personally I don't care if my retainers inventory was cleaned out and all my gold removed I just want my character that I have been working on since day one of launch and had very minimal 1.0 progression onto the NA non legacy server with everyone else. I don't have a maxed out character. I had no choice but was stuck on a JP leg server. None of my friends would roll on my server at launch because it was JP. None of them want to move now. Do I blame them? Why should I. I don't even know if I can move to a NA Legacy server because I only get one free shot.

I really feel like I am being punished because I decided to come back to the game and come back with open arms. This game is supposed to be fun but it is becoming very frustrating being told that because I am an early supporter, I cannot play with my friends with the character I have been working on. Starting from scratch and doing over all that work again is not going to bring about an ideal sense of accomplishment and enjoyment.

First, they said September. Then, they said early/mid October. We are now ending with early October, and no date but more and more apologies from the developers. 2 strikes. Unfortunately, this is a BUSINESS. If the first time you cant get it done, then you are supposed to get it done the second time. They already messed up with the whole server errors and server lockouts at launch (let's not add 1.0 to the weight) and now they cannot even give us a server transfer ON TIME to fix their initial problems with players and lockouts.
I enjoy the game; I will continue to play the game. However, from a business standpoint, this is unacceptable. While I can argue that the customer does not always come first, this was a problem on SE's behalf, and while they are continuing to develop ways to fix their mistakes, they are only giving empty promises because they cannot met their OWN deadlines.

My issue is not with release time. The main reason being is if they rush it, and it gets pushed out unfinished, than the mistakes made could be irreparable data pertaining to your character. I would rather they get it right so my character does not get deleted in the process, it is the permissions as to who gets to move that irk me.
