I need server transfer now!

Hmmm.....
So, i just spent the last week on Excalibur re-doing all class quests/ story quests for my 50 Bard, in prep for server move, for nothing.....

I have 95k and NO uber gear, why the hell should i be punished...

Excalibur was my server of choice waaaaay back in 1.0, but i chose Behemoth in ARR,
after checking out a couple, because i found an fc with a great bunch of guys (_uA.)

I want to transfer there because i already have a 50 class, and others on 30's, and i have 95k i can use
rather than the piddly 20k i do now on Behe.

Way to punish those that have been there from day dot SE....

There are a lot of people that are complaining about "legacy" not being allowed to transfer yet. Legacy characters can affect the world in many ways. There are quite a few 1.0 characters that are maxed with all classes and have a lot of materials on them. Which some could and would use this to their advantage by controlling markets. Which in turn would influence the natural progression of the economy of a non legacy server. I believe as soon as they feel this to be a non issue they will allow legacy to move where they please.

great except one small problem only about 10% to 25% of the legacy population have anything close to what you describe, what about those of us who don't? like the majority of us?? if we can move should be determined by more than just if our char was 1.0 or not. many of us could barely even play during 1.0 because the game was an overbloated steaming pile of bovine **** for most of its life before the reboot

to me this is like having a neighbor way down the street. you know 10 houses away commit a crime and everyone on the whole street gets put in jail because of what he did

i was under the impression when they first were talking about the game and everything that people on legacy servers wouldnt be able to transfer their characters until the game was 6 months old, why is everyone complaining when they originally put that out there?

as far as I know this was NEVER officially stated by anyone at SE EVER so I dont know where you all get this from, if they did please produce a link to your information

Comments like these truly make me laugh. You seriously expect people (and SE) to believe that it was "Square Enix's fault" that you got put into a EU server? Seriously? Wow. I guess out of the hundreds of thousands of people playing for some reason your game did not display the letters EU near the server. Give me a break. Don't blame SE for your stupidity. Face it, you're screwed and it's of your own accord. Makes me laugh how people complain to SE when they screwed themselves. No one cares that you're "doubly pissed", you should be pissed at yourself and no one else...

Keep whining and complaining though, totally gonna get SE to give you your transfer. Sike.

your statement is arrogant assumption. me and 10 other friends chose to transfer to another legacy world(we all chose the same world, and were excited we would be playing together) during their option to transfer so we could be together 6 of those friends ended up on worlds they did not choose and were given no warning of this. so yes SE is at fault not the players and you are an arrogant jerk

I have been searching for official comments from SE regarding this process ever since the game launched, and I have never found, nor has anyone ever been able to produce for me, anything that indicates that a 6 month wait was planned. It was hearsay. Nothing more.
Saying that restrictions are there to prevent 1.0 characters with all jobs to 50 messing with the economy on other servers is ridiculous. They represent a very small percentage of 1.0 characters, and anything they can do on a regular server they can do on a Legacy, in terms of monopoly control of an economy.

i am very grateful for the quickness in adding world transfer services, thank you so much for making it happen so fast Mr. Yoshida and SE staff.

now just get rid of the gil sellers spamming in the towns with shout. they are not only a threat to our in game economy they are obnoxiously annoying and so frequent in spams you must black list them in order to read anything from anyone else. i know you all can do it. and thank you again Mr. Yoshida for keeping us informed

I'm pretty sure they stated that the legacy won't be able to move to another non-legacy server right at the start. I think that they did say that it might be available but not for a while. That 6 months is probably the number guessed by people at that time of announcement.

Maybe they already archived that thread though, not really sure. Maybe on lodestone?

Well FML... At that time the hype from the 11 other people waiting for me and my bud is probably over.. I don't even know if the game "catches" them after the 6 month wait (this is assuming its a 6 month wait)
We have plans for our FC and all.. But no progress is gonna happen cause the leader is stuck on a NA Legacy server......
I can play solo, no problem there. But I really would wanna play with my friends instead, make dungeons even more fun than they already are.

I don't even have a h.lvl crafter, my highest is a 25 Carpenter. As if I could screw the economy over with that when I focus more on dungeons and the other things this game have than crafting.
Oh well, I can only hope for SE to make a legacy transfer available quick.

I think this is a prevailing opinion/situation. People who play the game and enjoy it in their spare time are being screwed over because SE are frightened of what the few hard-core players might do to a new economy…

only issue with their logic is there are more NEW hard-core players than 1.0 ones. so their logic is fail

think about this, when the game showed to be an abysmal mess not a lot of players stuck around so most 1.0 players now are returning to give the game another shot after only playing 1.0 for a few months tops. even when it was free it didnt see many returning players

this is how I figure only 10% to 25% of the 1.0 players will have maxed everything out and have millions of gil and even then I think that is pushing it


SE your logic is flawed, no 1.0 players are going to mess up the economy. at this point you might just as well tell Legacy players they cant move their 1.0 chars at all because that is about what it equates to. none of the Legacy players that I know of that desire to move want to stay on Legacy worlds. I for one have a whole guild from 3 other games that I want to move my Legacy char to be with
