I need server transfer now!

...There are quite a few 1.0 characters that are maxed with all classes and have a lot of materials on them. Which some could and would use this to their advantage by controlling markets. Which in turn would influence the natural progression of the economy of a non legacy server....

What are we going to do, undercut the market on every item until we run out in a month or less? That would definitely cause devastating effects on the universe.

who knew people were so hellbent over a low level 1.0 toon and keep complaining WHILE leveling them up when you could just make a NEW CHARACTER and CHANGE SERVERS. but hey no one wants to do the story right?

THEY DIDNT FORCE YOU to make a character onto a legacy server or keep using ur 1.0 toon even if they are/arent capped out.

They did force 1.0 characters on to Legacy servers, and I shouldn't have to remake a character and forget about a character I leveled while paying Square-Enix long before any ARR newbies contributed to the game's income.

IF im being "forced" onto one server with a toon i already had on 1.0 and i knew none of my friends played there. it would be obvious to change servers and toon. It wouldnt be as fun and would wait until server transfer for legacy players to use him. Not like if most 1.0's arent maxed out and besides. you really think theyre forcing you to make a new one? no. Its a choice. stay on legacy with crazy lag spikes and QUE times or go to another server and enjoy it more. It's a choice.

Yeah, I don't really buy the dead horse excuse of 'bad for the economy' when they clearly stated that transferable gil is capped and materials don't mean much when you still have to sell them/craft them in order to make the gil back and, from my experiences, people just love to undercut the next person into a downward spiral where you'd make more selling to an NPC than the market boards. The real reason people have been foaming at the mouth on disallowing Legacy transfers is far more insidious and selfish, they don't want to see what they can't have because they can't have it.

The Legacy servers have been the most overcrowded since launch because all the returning players had no choice but to start there and all manner of new players created characters on them to try and benefit from the experience. While Square has done an admirable job of increasing server population limits I'm still being put in a queue 9 times out of 10, with that queue hitting up to 30 in peak hours. We need the transfers every bit as much as everyone else.

In the future, we will look at economic conditions on new Worlds and plan on making it possible to transfer from Legacy Worlds to new Worlds; however, this option will not be available at the start of the World Transfer Service. We appreciate your understanding.

Why the hell won't this be available?

I am stuck on a legacy server by myself without my IRL frields because of your inability to even remotely predict the demand for your game. I finally talked them into joining a legacy server which they did not want to only to find Hyperion locked out the ENTIRE FIRST WEEK. Not to mention my legacy character at the time was a lvl 5 marauder with like 500 gil to its name. So why can't you make exceptions to transfer off? How long do I have to wait?

This is a serious issue as soon I will be in endgame and need a FC to do content. I don't want to start working up points in the FC only for this option to open up and allow me to FINALLY join my friends server.

i was under the impression when they first were talking about the game and everything that people on legacy servers wouldnt be able to transfer their characters until the game was 6 months old, why is everyone complaining when they originally put that out there?

It's not so much that as much as that's when it was believed that server transfers would be available, they gave no impression that it'd be sooner. Well, it's sooner and we're wondering why they are still listening to the naysayers. Especially with how players have raced through content like they have.
