bumping so this thread doesnt get lost in the shuffle
Another thread from users complaining about something that Yoshi-P already released information for. I swear when I see you people complaining and then realize you don't take even 5 minutes to look at news coming from the dev team I suddenly realize you deserve not to know anything.

If I'm not mistaken, this thread was made before an official announcement (translated) was released. A community rep even replied on the 3rd page about it. Took me less than 5 minutes to look that up.Another thread from users complaining about something that Yoshi-P already released information for. Well that's infuriating.
I'm calling nonsense on the economic concerns. There's already lots of players with high level crafting & gathering, not to mention the RMT - and besides that I don't see a whole bunch of legacy people suddenly up and leaving the legacy worlds given what a nightmare the DF can be at higher levels.
So why punish folks like myself who have multiple real-life friends on the game but on the newer servers because of the new character restrictions by preventing me from joining them? I'm not starting a brand new character and going through the entire story for the 5th freaking time (counting each beta) and re-leveling everything when I could be working on my legacy character just so we can hang out. They get that, but we're all very frustrated over this.

There's no excuse for SE not to allow anyone to transfer to any world they want. You cap the gil that can be transferred and you bind all gear during transfer to the player (gear that is binded can't be sold on the AH). This is a perfect solution. If the player doesn't want to lose his/her gil, he or she can create a mule on the world they are leaving and keep the gil there.

I do not pretend to know all about economy management concerns about legacy worlds. I take that. But it's a sick thing that I have to be "limited" by being in a Legacy World. I don't say that it doesn't make sense to have that rule in place but as a paying costumer I want to have the same chances everyone have.
Now I'm lucky I only paid for the first 30 days because I'm seriously considering to freeze my account, not to protest or hoping to achieve something but simply because I'm not enjoying the server I'm playing on.

Since Legacy worlds are over crowded anyways, wouldn't it be beneficial to create one additional "legacy" world to banish us on? You know, like prison over crowding, send some to a lesser filled prison until legacy players are allowed back in the general public? This really makes no sense for legacy players to not be able to move off world.
There are a lot of people that are complaining about "legacy" not being allowed to transfer yet. Legacy characters can affect the world in many ways. There are quite a few 1.0 characters that are maxed with all classes and have a lot of materials on them. Which some could and would use this to their advantage by controlling markets. Which in turn would influence the natural progression of the economy of a non legacy server. I believe as soon as they feel this to be a non issue they will allow legacy to move where they please.
