You have to drop your FC before applying for transfer... so basically you would have to disband the whole FC so that all their members can move to a new server.

As mentioned previously, the World Transfer Service is scheduled to begin soon and Yoshi-P has organized a bit of information about this before the official announcement is made.

In the future, we will look at economic conditions on new Worlds and plan on making it possible to transfer from Legacy Worlds to new Worlds; however, this option will not be available at the start of the World Transfer Service. We appreciate your understanding.

what a nice up yours to Legacy players. thanks lots, I'll be canceling my subscription till you add the ability for me to move my Legacy char to a world I want to be on instead of forcing me to stay on this legacy world where I know nobody. Its BS I know players on regular worlds who have far surpassed any legacy player I have met

I think it's because some people have everything at lv50 in Legacy while I am not sure people ahve all their gathering/crafting at 50 on new servers yet
So they do have an advantage on the market

this is just an excuse, nothing more. SE didnt pull anything like this on XI when they brought it to the PS2(yes I know they didnt remake the game but the comparison is sound new player vs old player) in the USA so sorry but its still just an excuse. especially when the majority of the players who want to move are Legacy so they can play with their friends on NON-Legacy worlds

I don't see why not and the announcement never mentioned any restrictions regarding migration to a different data center. It's not like they have to copy our data into a floppy disk and have to ship it to another country,

I beg you to reconsider! My legacy character was garbage at launch of ARR, he was wearing awful dated gear, was only lvl 25 archer, and had very little in the way of gil. I've spent hours playing since release, and while he's still not great, I don't want to abandon him to go play with my friends on another server. I also don't want to lose my legacy mark and legacy mount.

Please, I've spent quite a bit of money on your games and subscription fees for FFXI and FFXIV, and I feel like the fans and players don't get heard. I thought FFXIV was going to be different, all my friends told me Yoshi P is different, he listens to players. Please listen to the players.
I promise I'm not going to jack up anyone's economy. D: (I couldn't if I tried. I've got the gil I earned through quests and that's it, all of my DoL/DoH are under lvl 15.)

If you're adamantly going to stand by this decision to punish your loyal customers, could you please at least tell us when we'll be able to transfer off of legacy servers??
