It's Oct. 15 wth man!! It looks like the loadstone was updated but not the mog station! Godsdammit SE what are you guys doing!! I remember them saying 'pending no major issues', I'm guessing a major issue came up and they just don't want to say anything in fear of community reprisal.

No, you have to read again they are speaking of the paid service. The free service should have started today, but atm I have big doubts that it's going to happen.

As for legacy people or people on legacy servers not being able to transfer this was stated many different times. If you are indeed legacy you will just have to wait. If you are someone who could only join a legacy server at launch you should have read up and waited. I had to wait a few days to get a non legacy server but it was better then waiting 6ish months to transfer off of one.

Untrue. No one has ever, EVER been able to provide a link to an official comment that stated 1.0 characters would not be able to transfer off Legacy servers. I have been searching for one ever since launch. There was much speculation around the issue, with people saying it could be 6 months to a year before it'll be made possible, but I challenge you (or anyone for that matter) to prove that it was officially stated in any shape or form.

At this point, they should just own it and give every EA player the opportunity for free transfers, regardless of when they apply. Because this is beyond ridiculous at this point.

Seems everything they do compounds previous problems and creates an even bigger charlie foxtrot. Some serious mis-management and severe incompetence going on at SE... which makes me sad, because I love this game more than I have most games I have played in the past ten years. But the terrible management decisions and piss-poor communication from the team at SE thus far have me wondering how long it will be able to remain viable.

Regardless... even if that was the official party line, things change. Circumstances have screwed a lot of people over, and SE know this, which is why they have allowed free transfers for five days as way of apology. So why cater to one group of affected players, but not those with 1.0 characters? It's unfair, and the reason for the current restriction is a complete joke. Justification of this opinion has been laid out numerous times by lots of people so I really shouldn't have to spell it out again. There is no reasonable counter-argument that I have seen which could explain why SE are sticking to this decision. It is incomprehendable.
