I need server transfer now!

I beg you to reconsider! My legacy character was garbage at launch of ARR, he was wearing awful dated gear, was only lvl 25 archer, and had very little in the way of gil. I've spent hours playing since release, and while he's still not great, I don't want to abandon him to go play with my friends on another server. I also don't want to lose my legacy mark and legacy mount.

It took me a LOT of time to do the new ARR story quests, running around on chocobos (cuz I am poor) and getting through the forever lasting cut scenes... Please dont make me start over....

Once you are a legacy player don't that continue for all the characters you create. I don't think it's revoked when you create a new character.

"Legacy Account" status applies to all characters you create on your account.
"Legacy Character" status only applies to characters that existed prior to ARR. (They have Legacy Tattoos and a special Legacy chocobo mount.)

Can we get an update here? I'm a 2.0 player stuck on a Legacy server away from my friends. I'm undecided on whether I'll quit but will let my account lapse until more information is available.

As mentioned previously, the World Transfer Service is scheduled to begin soon and Yoshi-P has organized a bit of information about this before the official announcement is made.

I swear you guys have done everything to avoid giving us a date (not to mention "oh sorry it's oct. already & we said sept. but Its coming early this month!!!" We see through it and its getting kinda annoying... Seriously either open the damn thing or give us a date. You're not "keeping anyone in suspense" & we're really getting tired of this wait.

This pretty much hits the nail on the head. I was excited at first but now I'm just genuinely annoyed and frustrated. I'd really like to know if I'm wasting time I could have spent playing with my friends on another server playing my legacy character by myself in preparation for server transfers.

Oh boo... no Legacy->New world transfer at the start... so it won't be a free world transfer for me to join my friends in other world then...

Thankfully all of my friends ended up the same server, but reading this I think it would be nice to give people a heads up with at least a rough idea of the gil cap. Is it around 50,000? 100,000? 500,000? 1,000,000+?

One could conceivably circumvent the gil cap by buying expensive items and reselling them after transfer. Just saying.
