Do relic weapons have hidden stats? (triple damage)

Hello all, I'm 1 dungeon away from getting my Spharai (mnk relic) but maintenance is up...
I was wondering, do relics here have a hidden stats like in FFXI? (5% for 3x the normal damage)?
At first it didn't cross my mind, but then a friend of mine told me that the relic+1 has a triple damage hidden stats and that it was confirmed by parser, I tried googling it but couldn't find anything regarding this. Does anyone have any clue?
Also, I'm saving for the Melee cyclas, so should I get the cyclas or upgrade to +1 relic as soon as I get it? (I don't have any ilvl90 items yet, cyclas would be my first).

lol he is actually a summoner, (with relic), we were randomly discussing why would someone waste getting relic+1 instead of gear pieces, he just jumped in and said that he saw somewhere that relic+1 does triple damage (not his results)...

Well there you go, FFXIV-APP doesnt work correctly and is just generally a waste of space

There's a proper parser called "FFXIV LogRep" which actually calculates everything with a like 100-200damage difference between multiple people running it with is negligible at best, We pretty much ran both at the same time, Two people running both parsers, the First Parser which was -app showed my summoner with Ifrit book and AK gear + All my Dex jewelery for accuracy/crit as "418" DPS and 200k damage compared to anyoneelse, (http://oi40.tinypic.com/2eewhtz.jpg) Whereas on the other one it shows a more accurate parse where I'm only 15k ahead (including pet) of the next person and we actually got the same numbers with both parties parsers (Logrep), whereas the FFXIV-APP one showed me pulling 418dps and 482dps differences

It was just a coincidence that he was a summoner, he didn't say that his relic+1 did the triple damage, but just said that he read it somewhere (maybe a job other than smn) i'm not sure to be honest >.>;
but its good to know that FFXIV-APP parser isn't accurate, faith in monk restored :P (i do AK with my brothers and one of them is a smn, he does like 210+ DPS while I can't keep up 140 DPS) made me sad :P

Anyone owns a relic+1 wanna share? ^_^

I've tried it today, results seems more realistic... (btw, got my relic and mytho body! )
does it only calculate DPS in events?
I want to see my DPS in real time fighting dummy striker, any idea how?

not possible. It was designed for dungeons and raids.

Anyone who gets armor over a +1 relic is pretty stupid.

Actually, it's better for BRD to get +1 Pants because the +1 weapon only adds 1DPS (~6 stats).

Keep in mind this is primary stat aka Dex. And 1 dex =~ 4 secondary stat.
So It is actually an ~10 dex upgrade.

But in reality that's not exactly how it is. WD is a multiplier of Dex. So the higher your dex, the better WD will be. 1 WD is always the best upgrade
