Weapon Damage VS Main Stat VS Secondary

So I was wondering if anyone have found concrete evidence for how much weapon damage is worth main stat and how much main stat is worth secondary stat? I've heard 1 Weapons damage=8 main stat, 1 main stat =8 secondary stat.

Does anyone know if this is right or wrong and if so do you have a link where the math can be checked out? I'm trying to decide what myth pieces I need but I need to know how the values of various stats equal each other

Thanks in advance for any input!

Secondary stat refers to Crit and Det which affect your damage and healing. Supposedly crit and det are equal to each other. Other stats such as piety/vitality arn't really on a tier as they're unique though I suppose you could call them third stat

While you could come up with a formula for how much Determination equals one point of STR, INT, or MND, that's really the only one that could be considered a "secondary stat". Crit rate is still good, but certain classes care about it more than others, namely the ones with abilities that have additional effects when a skill crits (Archer and Scholar for example), while others don't really care for it (WHM, for example, is more about the reliable cures and can't depend on something that may or may not go off. Oftentimes a crit just means overcuring for more enmity). Also there's Skill/Spell speed, which is quite useful by essentially being a multiplier to everything you do, needs to hit certain tiers to get a benefit.
