Need help plz

Hi i have a level 30 gladiator and a level 15 conjurer and when i go to talk to the person to get the quest i never get the quest how do i become a paladin? I watched a video on youtube and i done everything right but its just not giving me the quest does anyone know whats going on or let me know if i may be doing something wrong thanks

You have to do the Gladiator 30 quest (and this is likely the OP's problem). You do not have to do any CNJ class quests. You simply have to have it levelled to 15.

ok thanks but i watched on youtube a guy thats on the same level 30 quest that i got to do but hes allready a paladin and when i try to do it i dont last long so i cant get passed it so does anyone know if u supposed to allready be a paladin im on the quest the rematch any info will help me thanks

You will have to complete The Rematch before the PLD quest will unlock for you. I don't care what you saw on YouTube. Until you complete The Rematch you will not get the first PLD quest.

A few hi-potions wouldn't go badly. You may already have some--it's a fairly common quest reward. They won't save you if you're consistently failing: it has a one-minute cooldown, but it can bail you out of a tough spot. Check your gear; up-to-date gear is always important is preventing damage. Don't forget to pick up cross skills from CNJ. Cure and Protect are very useful buttons to have on your hotbar. If necessary, try adding a few more levels. The fight is capped at 34, so you can level up that much further and take those levels into the fight.

In this battle, it helps to remember the old Shadowrunners' cry: "Geek the mages first!". Take out the healers first, then the thaumaturges. Be aware that they respawn so you'll need to pick them up again when they reappear.

But if you're dying quickly, I suspect your problem is more basic: you're not avoiding the AoE attacks. FFXIV likes to throw enemies at you that have devastating but avoidable area of effect attacks. The area affected will be announced by a red outline. You must get out of that area as soon as it appears. This is a basic skill in this game and unless you can master it you're not going to get very far.
