FATE contribution / combat bug

I've not had this issue, but I have found situations where the "enemy" was defeated mid-cast, so I'm seeing the animation but immediately losing the target. All I can really say is get as close as possible, hit "tab" to target it, and spam your attacks, then walk outside the AOE range.

the issue is not being unable to target / attack the enemy. the issue here is i'm dealing damage but i'm not entering "combat".
