Once we can start saving palettes it will be fixed. I believe they are there for new players...or they might forget about equipping basic actions.
And i don't think auto-attack will change a thing about the basic actions...but who knows?

If anything, I hope they bring back some of the different stance ideas.

Yes I have been asking for stances for some time now. Especially since they seemed to be planing them anyway. It really would have added a lot of class diversity to the game which is something many feel is lacking in the game.

They are still kind of in there, kind of. Not nearly what was expected for Pugilist though. The character shown is literally in a more defensive stance. Using Light Strike does give you an evasion buff but your Pugilist doesn't change stances which was disappointing.
The Gladiator picture is still accurate. You can Slash for more or different damage, you can Stab for more accurate or different damage. Guard is still guard. Unless you open up a fight with a guard skill, then your character glitches with their shield put away even though it's technically still out.
The Lancer picture is misleading. Yes you can attack from a distance, but it doesn't matter when every monsters' AoE and basic attack still reach you. About the only advantage to that was claiming normal mob pops during the CE release when Wharf Rats were like NMs. Camp Bearded Rock was like Dragon's Aery.
Skewer for Lancer still attacks like the picture depicts.
