FFXIV: ARR becoming TORtanic

For god's sake stop defending the game's deficiencies, Square Enix already failed big time with 1.0 which should already be a sign to everyone that they are not perfect, in fact they've been delivering nothing but flops for more than a decade now, they said it themselves, another Failure like FFXIV 1.0 and it will ruin their company.

Indeed, they messed up big time with 1.0. But saying that they have delivered nothing but flops in 10 years is like a little bit too much xD.

Personally (as I speak only for myself) I love FFXIV ARR. Also I totally loved the new Tomb Raider, and Sleeping Dogs. Not to mention Final Fantasy XII which I also liked (not my favorite, but was good).

I Agree with OP in that SE should have released more than one dungeon that drops Myth, having only AK for that gets boring and repetitive, also is the main cause of the long queue times to enter it.

But this will be addressed in version 2.1, in one month or so. Meanwhile I do recommend leveling a second class, its really good that you can play different roles on the same char, is like a different game every time you change roles. Tired of being a DPS? try tanking or healing. Tired of being a melee fighter?, try blackmage or summoner. For me that's one of the most positive things about FFXIV.

Making your text large as shit doesn't make your post seem any more meaty, just to let you know.

Your complaints came down to having to pay for stuff (lol), not knowing how to make money, having to wait in queue for dungeons (lol), not having PvP, being too ADHD to level a crafting class, and a few other things that don't even impact your gaming experience.

Well here's how it breaks down:

1. You can easily make money from doing nothing but running a bit of CM and AK. I make around 200k a day just screwing around. I would tell you how, but it's so damn obvious I think I'll let you figure it out.

2. There's not an MMO out there with a Dungeon Finder system that isn't going to have queue times. Don't wanna wait in long queues for AK? (Which is the only dungeon right now that has queue-time issues.) Simply find a group on your server to run with, and don't queue on Monday.

3. PvP isn't even an interest to MMO players anymore. No one gets serious about MMORPG PvP anymore. It's been a running joke since WoW got kicked from the e-sport scene. Just go play some LoL if you need a PvP fix.

I'm not even going to point out the rest of the drivel you brought up. Your "complaints" are more of a showcase of ignorance than legitimate complaints.

Tera when it got to us was already released in Korea for about or over a year. Just fyi. FFXI had no pvp until its 5th(not quite sure) year running. And that game is still around 12 years later. I didn't do any crafting yet but from what I saw I'm pretty sad that they got rid of the stuff that made ffxi crafting interesting like certain days that benefit certain crystals or the direction you are facing. But well that can be seen as a gimmick and like I said I have no experience crafting in this game.
But all in all what they did in 1 year is quite impressive and if that is any indication of things to come I'm not really worried.

Same boat? It literally had TWO dungeons. We have CM, Praetorium, Garuda, Ifrit, Titan, AK, Coils, and the relic quest dungeons. That's a lot more than "2."

She (he? maybe more likely) would rather afk through CM than work for it in Praetorium. You can sit there youtubing, wanking it, or some other such while afk'ing in CM. Maybe she (he?) spends more of her (his?) energy in AK and feels that the mindlessness of CM is the only relevant task. Me, I switch to another class and do something else. Make some money, spend time helping my FC and friends, etc.
