Player search not able to find offline players

How exactly are we supposed to find materia melders, crafters, LS /FC leaders asking to join them, grow as a community, when everytime we try to find a player we have to pray he's online? (If offline, the player results as non-existent)
Also the search function must be able to find every crafter of the server just choosing the discipline, listing all of them.
Same for a particular kind of player (find healers, tanks, etc)

This is just ridiculous. Search ingame is just useless junk, where we have to waste hours contacting every member of an LS/FC until finally one of them is online, and hope to find a way to contact the target

Please fix the ingame search function to allow us to find offline players (and send them a message/request/friendship to allow us to be able to stay in touch as soon as possible), and the entire list of crafters/etc available on the server choosing the icon of the discipline/class.

The only issue with that is you would immediately get friend requests from spammers or someone trying to "max LS" or other crazy junk. Unsolicited messages, especially ones that have repercussions that a player might not understand is a huge nono.

You should only be able to send friend invite requests while offline - AND they should auto timeout so they're not popping up all the time. If they do not accept the request then you can't send FC invites.

Another solution would be the ability to send LS/Friend/FC invites through the mogmail system, AND be able to filter them into a mail FOLDER.
