Yes, but that's unrelated to Dalamud or Bozja Citadel somewhere on Garlemald (sp?). I remember that being mentioned in one of the Botanist quests. For some reason the water under Thanalan is being drained by something, thus causing desertification.

It's not something Dalamud dropping would do.

Bozja Citadel! That's the name I was trying to remember upthread.

And yeah I don't even think Dalamud got -close- that time; that catastrophe had something to do with the Allagan system for controlling Dalamud, the Garleans did a weapons-test with it and it pulled the entire citadel into the Void.

    Good times.

An intern: "Hey guys, what's that red button for?"
Some MAD SCIENTIST: "Don't touch that!"
    Intern: "Oops."

"A blemish on Garlean legacy", indeed.

It is in the systems and content PDF for 2.0, last page last panel:

Wandering Odin primal, who grows in strength and drops greater treasures with each defeat.

Even if Odin is a Primal, since XI was used as an example earlier take it further into consideration:

If as theorized that the Vans are Odin's "Knights", he doesn't particularly need to derive power from the crystals/aether like other primals, he can drive his power from the amount of 'Knights' he has under his control, especially since as said, in XI he creates pacts/use strong people (especially those with a taste for revenge/undying rage/unbending will to destroy) which was seen in ToAU and WoTG.

Nael Van Darnus: Such depth! Such sublimity! Rapture! Complete and perfect rapture!
Gaius Van Baelsar: Perfect? Do you not remember? That day ten years ago was an utter failure─a blemish on the legacy of Garlemald. We learned then we could not control where Dalamud would fall. That is why Meteor was abandoned.
Regarding the quote above, I quote a speculation from a member of my linkshell

With this bit of information, I think it'd be safe to speculate that 10 years ago, during the Battle of Silvertear Falls, Garlemald was attempting to bring Dalamud down. The dragons fought against them to prevent this, and ultimately stopped it from happening, but in the process also awakened the primals. The primals may also be connected to Dalamud in some way as well, but that's less clear.
Which leads to my next quote.

    Source: http://lodestone.finalfantasyxiv.com...ndex.html#news

Ever since Dalamud began taking on a crimson hue, countless theories have been in circulation seeking to explain the anomaly. A great many believe that Menphina's hound is bathed in the blood of a vile fiend who had designs upon his mistress's life, even as others swear that the changes portend the Seventh Umbral Era. Yet another theory, originating from the Holy See of Ishgard, claims that the phenomenon signals the awakening of the great wyrm Nidhogg, who has lain in deep slumber for the past two decades.
I'll let you all speculate on this; but the events link and make sense, the Battle of Silvertear Falls with the dragons, Nidhogg (the wyrm king) being put into slumber and not awakening until he senses Dalamuds approach once more.

Also the primals link to Dalamud is there, as Garuda's power from the crystals is sucked up to Dalamud when you defeat her.

Looking at Dalmund, it's shape really appears similar to Alexander.

Maybe it's the Holy Machine God crammed in there. It'd be like the Garleans to build or summon a powerful machine, and then realise, oops it's too powerful, let's seal it in space until we learn how to control it. Divine Judgement is gonna suck...

Here's a little Wiki Lore for you as well

Housed on the Red Moon, the Giant of Babil is summoned to the Earth by gathering the Crystals at the Tower of Babil to activate a dimensional elevator. The connection with Alexander is cemented by the battle with Proto-Babil in the DS release, which uses Divine Judgment, Alexander's signature attack.
Just wanted to add: Thanks OP and others. Loving this Thread!!! ^^
