    It’s hard to draw a direct comparison as this time we already have in instance BIS

    eureka dyed AF gear in anemos didn’t affect your power in the instance, only elemental gear did, Bozjan haste gear from CLL affected your in instance power but it also didn’t have other gear that was introduced in Zadnor because it introduced valors

    OC meanwhile already has both, it had in instance BIS and it has valors, so if north horn +0 gear is weaker than south horn +2 gear then south horn gear will continue to be used, but they can’t just add valors for compensate for no new gear because they already have valors with mastery stacks

    As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.

    I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess

    I'm not a terribly creative person when it comes to designing systems, and I suspect SE is spending their creative energies on the setting, Phantom Jobs (the actions), and FT:M. I also have trouble imagining that SE would want to dump any more power into a gear set, especially with N more rays mastery stacks coming.

    Unless… the new thing is to start imbuing gear with defensive boosts. And if you do it in such a way that it can be applied to both the Arcanault's +1 and +2 gear, and without losing them when upgrading a piece from +1 to +2, then you don't have to worry about Sanguinite/X-Fixatives and potentially cannibalizing the main reason to run FT:B repeatedly.

    To be fair the current gear set is only 14.5% damage, the mastery stacks are the majority of the current power

    But imbuing defence would be good, because as soon as you remove incentives go get +2 then the last incentive to run FTB collapses which I believe they would want to avoid

    I hope they add Mime in the next batch as a job that allows you to borrow actions and traits from max-leveled jobs.

    Should've been Freelancer as it's what the job is about in the original.

    I just hope it's not another rng grind and I hope the scaling is better so it doesn't steal your first purchase away from you. Yes, a riding map is ideal, but it should never be mandatory. That's just bad game design. So much of what could've been fun in OC was ruined by needless tedium.
