It definitely can turn really fast. I like that early mistakes don't preclude winning.

A lot of Aether players are portraying Aether Frontline as living hell for some weird reason
Everyone just give up if they spot Frontline really seems just an excuse for leechers to go afk
Yup, guilty as charged. "Zero drive" did indeed sound to me like putting in no effort.Ah, then you see the solution, problem person. Just remove the Frontline Roulette. Then it'll be only the people who want to play PvP queueing in, just like Rival Wings (I do miss when they put that on the Moogle tomes list and it actually had people queueing into it; I know there's Rival Wings weekends or something but I'm too lazy to find that and actually do it with no other reward involved). However, I'm getting off topic, because you, problem person who is indeed a (or the) problem here, have clearly misinterpreted "zero drive" as never putting in effort, which is incorrect. I try every time I queue in. It just feels empty and unrewarding. But it's okay, please keep telling people to "please stop playing." It makes them feel so, so welcome.
If you've somehow overcome this condition through sheer force of will in order to... do what exactly? Gain XP? Then well done and thank you.
Unfortunately, the current reality on Aether is that many people have what might be called "negative drive" and avoid combat completely. This combined with two of the maps being shite and the insulting garbage that is Cosmic Exploration means I'm letting my subscription expire.
It kinda is though. To me, frontlines is a grind. Something we completionists have to suffer through to get our achievements done. Currently 1330 wins out of 3000 needed right now.
In truth, not sure why it is necessary to have 3 different achievements requiring 1000 wins for each Grand Company. Why not just one 1000 win achievement in general?
I wondered why you get so frustrated when you land on a weak team.It kinda is though. To me, frontlines is a grind. Something we completionists have to suffer through to get our achievements done. Currently 1330 wins out of 3000 needed right now.

You feel frustrated because you're not truly a PvP player—you're more of an achievement completionist, as you’ve admitted yourself. It kinda is though. To me, frontlines is a grind. For dedicated PvP players, reaching 3,000 wins is entirely achievable.
It all comes down to perspective.
Yep. You are 1000% correct and I don't deny it. Gave you a like too.
As a completionist, my brain simply cannot stand leaving things unfinished. I read books on mahjong, written by irl masters, and pushed to get mahjong master done. Pushed through Rival Wings, and am now pushing through Frontlines. Others may consider it fun and I fully acknowledge that I consider it a grind. I WILL reach 3000 wins someday though. For sure. Never underestimate how far us OCD completionists will go to get the job done, even if we don't enjoy it lol.
Delusional take.

Simply put, a delusion is a belief in something that is objectively untrue. I have seen many different viewpoints on here. Some I agree with, some I do not. However, I have not seen a single sentence that I would classify as "objectively true". This thread is about whether people like Frontlines, which is a subjective matter.
So what specific statement do you believe is untrue? Do you not believe that there are people out there who enjoy Frontlines? Do you not believe that there's folks who dislike certain maps or Frontlines in general? Do you not believe that completionists like myself exist? Do you doubt my resolve to complete these achievements despite my own dislike of Frontlines?
What exactly are you calling delusional? Because from my perspective, it appears you are using a word you don't understand and doing so with hostile intent. Please clarify.
