I'm hoping with the outcry that has happened in dawntrail, the writer(s) learned from it and will improve. Because yes, I also think the writing was worse than what I was used to. It's whatever though.

    It's just a character. Just a story.
If they make Wuk Lamat a scion, it opens the door for more character development. It's not an inherently bad narrative decision, but how well it works is entirely dependent on how well it is written. And you won't know if it's good or not until it happens. So might as well just shrug, let it happen if it does happen, and deal with it. Being all negative upfront is just such a waste of time and mental energy.
She's the leader of a country not some random adventurer. She would be turning her back on all her responsibilities to go flitting off across the world. The only character development that leads to is negative. Why would the Scions ever recruit someone who showed they were that unreliable?

I listed a number of reasons she'd never be a Scion. This isn't me hating on Wuk Lamat, this is me looking at it from a logical perspective. The Scions traveled to the far ends of the universe to prevent an extinction level event. Wuk Lamat is scared of giant colibris. Scion material?

EDIT: I love Wuk Lamat to death. I just found her annoying when she didn't stay home.

They could do a 2-for-1 and have lil Gulool Ja sneak up and kill Wuk Lamat in 7.1, thereby removing the worst character in the FF franchise quickly and also thus killing off a significant character, which hasn't happened in forever, a long time bugbear of the MSQ. There's no way that lil guy is taking it well having Wuk be part of an effort to kill his father and then say she's his family now, with that forced hug, lmao. Wuk Lamat is the only female hrothgar encountered in the MSQ, the only other one I've seen is in a role quest. That results in a concentration of femhroth identity being limited to wuk lamat- and thus a stigmatization of the femhroths, ruining all the work that went into making them... and less people wanting to fanta into one.

If you're talking about the 7.0 final boss, the WoL had that one in the bag even without her.

EDIT: In fact, I remember said final boss deeming everyone--Wuk Lamat included--except the WoL, as trash, not even worth their time, before sending them all away. It doesn't matter if Wuk busted her way back in, the WoL and his/her seven summoned companions did all the work.

Until they got conveniently stunned and unable to act until Wuk Lamat came in.

She didn't solo that boss, by any means, was the point I was making. Yeah, we got conveniently stunned until she came in. Just like how we got conveniently thrown into an abyss while fighting Elidibus. We got pulled out by the shade of Emet-Selch, but aside from that, he did jack in that fight. We did all the work. Emet didn't solo Elidibus, just like how Wuk Lamat didn't solo the 7.0 boss.

    She's still not Scion material.
