Bad writers can turn into good ones as well. And good writers can also make some missers in their narrative choices.
I'm hoping with the outcry that has happened in dawntrail, the writer(s) learned from it and will improve. Because yes, I also think the writing was worse than what I was used to. It's whatever though.

It's just a character. Just a story.
If they make Wuk Lamat a scion, it opens the door for more character development. It's not an inherently bad narrative decision, but how well it works is entirely dependent on how well it is written. And you won't know if it's good or not until it happens. So might as well just shrug, let it happen if it does happen, and deal with it. Being all negative upfront is just such a waste of time and mental energy.

I listed a number of reasons she'd never be a Scion. This isn't me hating on Wuk Lamat, this is me looking at it from a logical perspective. The Scions traveled to the far ends of the universe to prevent an extinction level event. Wuk Lamat is scared of giant colibris. Scion material?

If you're talking about the 7.0 final boss, the WoL had that one in the bag even without her.

EDIT: In fact, I remember said final boss deeming everyone--Wuk Lamat included--except the WoL, as trash, not even worth their time, before sending them all away. It doesn't matter if Wuk busted her way back in, the WoL and his/her seven summoned companions did all the work.

She didn't solo that boss, by any means, was the point I was making. Yeah, we got conveniently stunned until she came in. Just like how we got conveniently thrown into an abyss while fighting Elidibus. We got pulled out by the shade of Emet-Selch, but aside from that, he did jack in that fight. We did all the work. Emet didn't solo Elidibus, just like how Wuk Lamat didn't solo the 7.0 boss.

Sure. After the WoL whittles the final boss down for her to do it. Like, seriously, we had it in the bag, with or without her help. The WoL and his/her Scion friends are the reason Wuk Lamat--and the rest of the world for that matter--are even alive right now, having deterred the Final Day and that whole business with the Endsinger, who would literally have ended all life on Hydaelin, had the WoL not been there.

But yeah, let's just say she single-handedly took down that final boss. We had absolutely nothing to do with it. We just kicked back, had a beer, and watched our girl, Wookie Mew Mew, git that boss and git it good.

Having said that, I kind of look forward to talking to Wookie Mew Mew again, all things considered. I still love her to death.
