The music got a good uplift I love it... some of the very old old ones could be rid of other than that its all fine.

I liked Dawntrail.
But I can't handle ARR music anymore.
Not that they're bad, but it's been way to long.Overheared them.
I'd love them to move away from them for new theme for specific moment/feelings (fear/run/sadness/uncertain....)
So if there's any chance it reaches dev teams, please, new music !
It made certain cutscene feel "bad" because of it.
At this point I'd want more 1.0 music to mix it up. The Twin Faces of Fate could of been used in this expansion to great effect in certain conversations.
For some reason though the dev team is super against using 1.0 soundtracks to the extent we can probably count the amount of times they're used on our fingers.
It's so jarring that I can't believe it was approved. Actually can't take the scene seriously at all when that song is in the background.
This has been said before, but i wanna Say it once more. Excepto for Ulqopacha and i have to squint really hard, none of the music says Latino America. While un the topic, besides the art departamento everything else is really shallow in terms of representation.
I do feel like they've become a bit over-reliant on leimotifs/remixes in the soundtrack lately.
All of the trial themes this go-around borrow rather heavily from other songs, while there really wasn't much of that in HW/SB comparatively. I really miss themes like those of the Warring Triad /Four Lords.

There are two. There's Open Sky and Smile.I haven't actually counted but this time it feels like they use their main motif (the one from the trailer pop song) even more than in past expansions? I know they always have around 2 themes that are part of almost every important piece of music (main cities, first two dungeon bosses, last dungeon boss, trials etc.) and while I understand why they do it, it already bothered me in the past. At some point I just get oversaturated by the constant repetitions of their main themes. But in the past they often had more than one at least. In EW for example they had the "flow" motif and the "footfalls" motif so there was some variation.
But in DT I have only recognised one so far? And it's even more prominent than themes from previous expacs.
I really wished they made all of Tural to just generically represent South America the same way Ishgard generically represented Europe. Having people go around talking about Tacos, Aloe Vera and diversity made me feel like I was talking to californians whose entire idea of South America came from Tiktok. Felt similar about Raz-at-Han too tbh, it was like "Hey look this is indian we are all elpehant people cus of that god and we eat curry oh wow isnt the curry spicy thats craaaazy!"
I would rather them use more of the new music. They did use alot of ARR and SHB music themes in alot of cutscenes. The ARR ones were extremely apparent to where I wish they reused stormblood or HW music more than the ARR ones.
How could they bring Vrtra in and use Endwalker's theme and NOT use the Dragonsong part?
he's flyin in all
