And these people are then what is seen as the "RP community".
The vast majority of club goers are "roleplaying" as thinly veiled horny self inserts. They're not going to clubs to weave a compelling narrative, they're going there to jerk off.

It's unfortunate their scene has become conflated with real RP but all anyone can do is just be the change you want to see. Support your local venue that hosts actual RP and host your own if possible.

Ha, as someone that used to go to real ones fairly often I had that same thought myself. Although to be fair you could apply that to many things our WoLs do. I wouldn't be caught dead at a shooting range either but I still like playing Machinist.
