Too late for azulmagia, but if you use shadowplay/that playstation clipping thing you can look over what you did and see where it went wrong/where you ought to have been. It might not help, but it can be handy if you’re struggling.

And did you watch the video?Uh, I think there was a mistake in communication, I was not saying I was lacking room to put spells/ actions in. In fact, what spells to use was never the problem I was having. Nor was knowing which spells to use when (like for example not using Sonic Boom when Repeling Spray is active and not using Abyssal Transfixion when Ice Spikes are active). It was trying get out of the AoEs in time on the last act.
The one I linked you to?
The one where it shows you the EXACT SPOTS to wait for each AOE.
And then for the other, the game updated how LOOM works, so that you now have specific settings so you can't accidently move the cast point out of the range, so you can easily move the max distance of loom.
With that change, escaping the AOE's is easier now then ever.
You DID turn it on, right?

Yes, I did, but frustratingly it was hard to find the right spots in the chaos (though, in hindsight I could have also put markers on those spots). Thankfully, must have been able to get better DPS (as in the amount of damage) on the final try because I was able to get him down to enough for him to be killed by a Flute + Whistle + Final Sting combo before he cast "web".And did you watch the video?

Doing more damage makes *all* of the Carnivale fights easier. If you really want to make things a walk in the park, do yourself a favor and get Nightbloom. Using the overpowered level 70 spells will "rob you of the authentic experience" but it will absolutely give you the "easy mode" difficulty you want. Things will just fall over dead before they get to do their gimmick more than once or twice.

Why are people so mean in this thread?
"Git gud?" Dude, this is the Job Quest.
I thought that the hard content for Blue Mages were doing the extreme trials and savage raids for the achievements and mounts, not clearing the Job Quests.
Nuh-uh. I agree 100% with OP and I think the Masked Carnivale should be redone to make it easier to clear. Much, much easier even. It shouldn't be this much of a chore, to even require guides, to just do the flippin' Job Quests.
Now I know why so few people even play as Blue Mage. Too much work to do even the job quest...

This isn't the type of job quests that are required to progress/finish the MSQ. They're optional side quests that involve an optional job, meaning that the devs don't have to ensure that players are able to complete them. Why are people so mean in this thread?

But even then, these quests aren't all that difficult, they just aren't faceroll easy either.
If you consider these quests to be a chore, along with the rest of the Masked Carnivale, then perhaps this content just isn't for you?
There isn't a lot of BLU activity because the last update they got was in patch 5.45, which was released 2 years ago.Originally Posted by Alenonimo

They kinda do.
People have complained about the Paladin, Monk and Samurai solo duties in job quests being too difficult in the past.
None of these Carnivale stages are particularly difficult, they just require a specific strategy.

Personally, I think games with zero difficulty are a chore. No strategy, walk from quest giver to quest area and back, rinse & repeat. I think the game is easy enough as it is.Why are people so mean in this thread?
