My point, in case you missed it, has zero to do with whether I can do it or not ( i can if I wish ), and more to do with the abusive, toxic, hyper competitive type that infests other games with things like "m plus", which has bred, and continues to breed, a "Im better than this "baddie" because I do HARD content and they dont....Good thing that said content is accessible to EVERYONE. If you don't like the fact that someone else can do it and you can't, then get better, and if you don't want to improve and learn to do it then let them have their hard content in peace while you remain casual. Ridiculous reason to gatekeep harder content being added because some people are jealous of the ones who do it.
Jealous? Of what a person does in a computer game? You have GOT to be kidding.. I am not sure what "remain casual" even MEANS in any context, again, doesnt worry me in the slightest.
Just a reminder..this is a game. Thats all it is, thats all it will ever be.
In case you didnt know, a certain other MMO's fostering of a hostile, abusive playerbase, catering to a certain niche area to the detriment of all else, has contributed significantly to their ongoing mass exodus. it hasnt stopped, you do know that? The flow of players has slowed, yes, but that certain MMO has, shall we say, turned a blind eye towards the reprehensible behaviour of their players and that continued failure has not been conducive to player retention. There will always be pretentious, self righteous karens that lord it over everybody just because they had a bad experience and think its perfectly ok to label the entire community that desire challenging content as one and the same .

The whole concept of M+ was built around a timer as a means to raise the stakes and if I’ve learned something from the corporate world is that the stress of deadlines and performance bonuses expose the very worst of the human behavior from otherwise nice and polite individuals.Id rather we didnt go down that path, if its all the same to you.The design of m+ breeds the toxicity that’s prevalent. Unless they radically change m+, it’s not going away, at least not if you’re pugging.
People always complain about M+ over in WoW, but the issue isn't really the timer so much as the key system. If M+ was just a normal wipe and dungeon reset people wouldn't be nearly as salty or picky about composition. But with keys (which isn't a thing in Criterion) you can lose days/week of progress.

Eight years in WOW, observation of human behaviour, and a first hand look at the massive errors they have made since 2010 says otherwise..you may dismiss what I have said as "fiction", thats up to you...however, the comments I just linked are from a thread dated 2021.My brother or sister in Hydaelyn, please turn off your phone and or computer and go fondle some grass. The level of vitriol you're putting out for these vile, toxic, elitist boogiemen is unreal.
This one in fact:

I will be very interested to see more details, tbh.But with keys (which isn't a thing in Criterion) you can lose days/week of progress.

Tentatively looking forward to it, but not holding my breath that it's going to be amazing. They've already removed a bunch of CC options from healers with things like Heavy/Malady on Miasma and Miasma II and Slow on Shadow Flare being removed from SCH, and in fact I think Holy's stun is the only crowd control option any healer has left. Because of how slim and streamlined job design has become, I'm skeptical that they're going to be able to do anything actually interesting that requires a bit of thinking and mastery of your job outside of "don't wall to wall because there's too much damage."
Just stop. People here aren't stupid. Don't try to backtrack now. And I really don't believe you aren't jealous. Your post reeks of it. You say you aren't jealous and could do the hard content. I would be happy for you if you could because I encourage more people to challenge themselves ,but you haven't cleared any savage content, don't posses a single savage mount, have never cleared an ultimate and have hidden yourself on "you know where" and you're trying to make an argument that you can't possibly be jealous because you can do the content. Then why haven't you done it? Can only be because you either don't care to do it or aren't skilled enough as a player yet and if it's the former like you're trying to make it seem then you really shouldn't care enough to be arguing against harder content to begin with.My point, in case you missed it, has zero to do with whether I can do it or not ( i can if I wish ), and more to do with the abusive, toxic, hyper competitive type that infests other games with things like "m plus", which has bred, and continues to breed, a "Im better than this "baddie" because I do HARD content and they dont....

Anything can be competitive if you have competitive mind.
FF still has ultimates, and solo deep dungeons, which is competitive per say. maybe ill find more competitive things to do too.

Personally I hope people find these rewarding. I suspect they won't be what some would like but sounds like a step in the right direction for those wanting harder content. I'm planning on giving it a try with some friends. I don't normally do savage but will explore what this has to offer soon.

Personally looking forward to it but I am keeping my hype at bay until I get the real feel of it, we need difficult 4 man content since the normal dungeons are just snooze fests and you don't need to play at your fullest to achieve victory.
One of the mottos in FF is "breaking your limit" but the game is built around the casual crowd too often for it to do that, so hopefully Criterion Dungeons will be just right to hit that sweet spot but again I am keeping my expectations at safe levels before I get horribly disappointed... just like in EX3, god that was a huge disappointment.
