GARDENING Locked content for Paying customers. Please read and fix.

I am quite frustrated with how housing works in this game.
(I list some solutions at the bottom if you want to skip my rant #5 i think would be best and easiest for FFXIV to implement)

All players can have the following if they have the right rank unlocked.
- Apartment (1mil gil)
- Private Chambers at a medium or large FC house (300k gil)

But all players have to have some measure of luck to acquire a house. Personally I wouldn't really care if there was not content locked behind the ability to have a house.

I can't crossbreed garden in an apartment or private chambers.

So this part of the game is locked away from me because I don't have a house. I cant just go get one. I cant run dungeons or earn it any other way its random. I pay the same amount as other people and I cant have content that I want to have. This is nonsense and needs to be addressed immediately. It is stuff like this that makes me want to unsub.

Possible Solutions

1.) Make more wards like a lot more. Enough wards to have empty houses all the time so that anyone who can afford one can buy one. I am not sure what type of server technical issues may be related with this but if someone can explain in I would love to hear why this isn't possible.

2.) Remove outdoor furnishing restrictions for players who don't have a house. This way people who only have apartments can have fun with the other housing items including gardening. Hell, throw in a new item "grow light" to make it seem legit if you want.

3.) Remove cross breeding restrictions and revamp entire gardening system so people without houses are not at a disadvantage. Highly unlikely but possible.

4.) Make things like Thavnarian onions/ seeds available through tombstone exchange or some other way that doesn't give an advantage to those that can cross breed and sell them. In addition anything through crossbreeding is now market prohibited.

5.) In the last live letter with the island sanctuaries it described all the activities would be exclusive to the island. Therefore, it would stand to reason that no "regular" gardening items are able to be grown there. CHANGE THAT. This is the perfect opportunity to ADD an area with plots for crossbreed at the island sanctuary. A few plots like a house in a housing district. If you really want to make it fair then limit the bed at the sanctuary based on if the player has a personal house or not.

***BONUS SOLUTION*** THAT I REALLY HOPE YOU NEVER EVER DO!!! (THIS IS A JOKE)

Sell housing plots on the mogstation because you know those whales have money to burn and it will push all non whales away from housing.

The last one is a joke but after months of clicking placards and losing every lotto I would EASILY pay $15 for a med or large plot. They already sell on resale sites for way higher than that. In reality SE will do none of the things you listed sadly.

i've been saying for nearing 5 years the answer to Gardening as well as the Fc workshop i simple...At the grand companys where the squad door is add 2 other options..1 takes you to your private workshop where you can rasie subsand ships aswell as use the workshop to make house glams...2 takes you to a private gardening yard (pay for 1 to 3 plots to grow)/

I know it's a joke but I'd take a consolation of reducing the sub price for everyone and charging per plot every month like they do with additional retainers. At least I wouldn't be paying for features I can't access.

tell me about it lol I pay $28.99 a month 2040 days subed 68 months soo say 65 of those ihad all 9 retainers...I've only dumped $1,885 into this game just for my sub not counting mogstation items lol

Are you suggesting that because my fc leader went on a hiatus and I got saddled with lead and our house my sub cost should go up?

That would be fair yes. You get to have an extra house while other people can't have one and are locked off from accessing those features. You're getting more game than other people so why should you both pay the same amount for a subscription?

Well thats not fair to them.. iTs all SE i dont get how you can put player housing on your product.. make x numbers of product but not match that number with houses

I push for more wards because it's something I've seen Square actually implement in the not-so-distant past, so I know that on some level it's doable in the present. With instanced housing, I have no idea what kind of things could be limiting them on this, if any. You don't know either. None of us know, because Square doesn't communicate on the issues facing their team in 2022 with regards to housing. For all you know, adding a new ward is really easy and they simply don't do it because they're just that out of touch. Everyone kept saying for years that instanced housing for everyone was too big of a server strain, and then Square went and promised everyone an island. Clearly none of us know anything. Square needs to just come out already and say wtf is going on to make housing so difficult, because frankly I've tried to make sense of it and nothing makes any sense at all and I'm tired of having to speculate in the dark with others who know just as little about it as I do.

Having said all that, hell yeah in my perfect world instanced housing would be the way to go. 100%. But if I'm going to ask for things to be implemented, I'd rather ask for something they've done before instead of expecting them to create a whole new system that might take years or something.

Transparency on the issue would be best. One way or the other. I too always want to know WHHHHHYYYYYY??????????

You do realize each ward has 60 INSTANCED houses in it?? You Zone into a private instance with each house none are connected. You cant talk to you neighbor inside your house....

People are so desperate all were asking for is basically a upgraded apartment i dont even care about the front yard Just give me a door to click to enter my house... Just make some way people can crossbreed seeds.. even if you make a 4 pot indoor flower box
