I asked my co-SGE 5 different times across the length of WoD to stop overwriting my shields/kerachole. I was at the point I was doing barely anything other than Physis and Dosis spam because they would - without fail - overwrite my stuff a couple seconds after it went out.

They did it YET AGAIN on Cloud of Darkness (I hit One kerachole, and they instantly overwrote it), died, and rather than raise them, I kind of got a bit annoyed with a "can you please Not".

The BLM, who had up until then been eating the floor more often than DPSing, at first assumed I was annoyed with a sprout who had died (... and died a lot before this). I said no, I'm not salty at newbies, I'm salty at shield healers with all 80s and a few 90s who cannot pay even one iota of attention to what buffs are up so that they aren't wasting their co-healer's resources and their own.

I get told "then just suck it up and stop being so toxic". I'm about to lose my mind at this community, I swear. Sorry, asking someone to have some measure of awareness when playing a shield healer with another shield healer - REPEATEDLY across the run - is toxic now?

What's next, asking our sprout tank to stop spinning the boss like a beyblade is 'toxic'? Because he sure was doin' that too and I asked them all of one time to please avoid doing that.

So tired of people enabling bad play and acting like asking for the basic bare minimum of a player is toxic and elitist.

Well, the dead guy was screaming for the healer to LB. Not my fault level 3 wasn't ready.

I had a tank in 83 trial (normal) that used tank LB3 the second it was available when it was just me, him, and the other tank alive because “well you weren’t using the healer LB”.

I was like “…healer LB2 doesn’t raise the party…”

And apparently, he didn’t know that. But needless to say, we wiped. I just jumped because, at that point, I’d have to raise the 5 other people because we didn’t have a SMN or RDM, and my co-healer was…not the best.

Tell them to wait if they want to actually be raised. Healer LB1 and LB2 are trash tbh. When people cry to healer LB3 without it actually being ready, I just ignore them and wait until it is.

Doing some raiding and the DPS just wouldn't get out of the circles in Shiva Extreme.

It made my life truly painful as I was one of the healers. The other Healer tried his best but it was clear that he wasn't experienced enough yet to duel with such a complete meltdown on the DPS. That and the other Healer would panic and use LB2 when the DPs started dying left and right instead of waiting for LB3.

Then there were the tanks fighting for enmity and causing wipes when Shiva switched to Bow phase as they, in their fight, would turn her towards the group JUST when she changes into bow.

It took us 6 tries to beat her...

Tell them to wait if they want to actually be raised. Healer LB1 and LB2 are trash tbh. When people cry to healer LB3 without it actually being ready, I just ignore them and wait until it is.

Many people are quick to spam the party chat with "HEAL LB!!! LB3?? LB!!!" the moment things go south, regardless of whether heal LB3 is even up or not, let alone if it's safe for the healer to do so.
Like... no, I'm not LBing just to die to a mechanic during animation lock and be at the mercy of my co heal to get ressed - if I'm the only healer alive, chances are my co heal isn't the best and will neither heal me during animation lock nor scrape me off the floor in a timely manner if I died. I will make sure there are no mechanics coming up that I'd eat during animation lock and then I'll LB3.
Not quick enough for them? Don't die.

So I'm tanking as GNB and doing the 50/60/70/80 roulette for tomes. It instantly pops with 25 mins in progress, and I join thinking that their tank probably DC'd. Surprise! It's Amaurot and they are still at the first boss. Not a great sign, but I figure how bad can it be?

So I run to the boss and do a ready check. Everyone is good except our healer and she types in say "I don't have any idea what I am doing." I knew then we were in for a ride. So I do my best to explain the mechanics for Angry Caterpillar with the meteors and such, and we make it through. She's not casting any damage spells, but I figure she is focusing on mechanics and healing and I'm okay with that. Hopefully we will get a few good holy's on the trash packs.

All I can say is this poor healer knew one spell and only one spell. Cure 2. It was all cure 2 the entire dungeon. I tried to gently offer some suggestions about using assize on cooldown and asylum at the end of a big pull and in her defense she did use them a couple of times, but it seemed like it was way out of her comfort zone. Eventually we made it through after another wipe on the final boss. Overall the run wasn't that bad, but it was surprising to run into such a limited player. I assume she bought a level skip. Scary stuff.

Ran into this with two separate farm groups for the second Extreme.

Guys, it ain't the roulette and even so loot stalling is cringe and annoying as hell you're just being a douche and everyone hates it don't be an asshat.
Just roll, people who need are going to roll regardless it's just a complete waste of time for everyone.

I'd hate to find out how much time I've wasted in FFXIV due to loot stalling that stuff adds up a lot over time.

People either want to leave the timer rolling so they can't be vote kicked while AFKing through Crystal Tower, or they just ignore it because "lol nobody wants this crap anyway", or it's the end and they're hoping other people will just give up and leave so they can claim all the loot. Or they're just wasting everyone's time for lulz.

Yeah I just don't remember it being a thing in party finder groups.
Especially in farm groups I just want to kill the boss, roll and then rinse and repeat and do it quick.
Instead you gotta sit there and wait because someone refuses to roll for the coffer <_<.

Honestly I wish that the timer would speed up the more people rolled.
Maybe down to 30 sec max or something if enough people roll.
Sometimes I just say in party chat '' I rolled 95 '' even if I passed and they immediately roll because they realize they have to roll 96+ anyways lol it's so transparent what they're doing.
But it's a trick that sometimes works.
