Healers (esp. pure) may keep their fast queues after all

Been watching the DF and PF and two observations:

1. Expert, at least on aether, is constantly healer in need. I haven't seen it flip to tank yet, though I'll keep an eye on it...
2. Looking at the high end duties in PF, I've noticed the following.
2.a. PFs are frequently waiting on healers.
2.b. When they have a healer, it's usually sage or... surprise surprise, scholar!

If this keeps up, ASTs and WHMs may get the VIP treatment just based on rarity - though all healers can enjoy quick expert queues.

This isn't surprising. Healers were already the most needed before the xpac and most everyone seems to feel like the enjoyment factor was decreased for healing overall.

It's a fairly fun healer though, and healer was a more popular role than tank back when healers were fun to play.

Oh yeah no doubt, I have switched to SGE as my healer main for good. I needed a lot of practice but I have several dungeons, raids and trials under my belt now since Friday and I have become used to the class's flow and frankly EXPLOSIVE healing potential with all of it's EXTREMELY POWERFUL cooldowns.

Haima and Panhaima especially.

Sage may be the new and shiny class, but at the end of the day....it's still a Healer.

What's kind of interesting to me is... well, a lot of people were concerned people would level sage and then leave it behind.

At least to some extent, that isn't happening. A lot of people (relatively) are taking it into endgame (what limited endgame there is at the moment - ex trials). I'm curious for the actual stats to become available so we can get a better-than-anecdotal breakdown of what people are playing.

I'm sure when logs come out with DPS and Healing numbers the 'But Muh META!' folks will come back and people will jump on the band wagons, but from what ive seen at least right now at this present time....plenty are still playing WHM, SCH, and AST.

Well, no healer is ever unplayed. Even at their worst, there are those that stick with them.

Will it be about equal between all of them? ...I really doubt it, it pretty much is never evenly divided.

There will always be more White Mages than any other healing job, simply because it is the only one where spamming your 2 most basic heals is a viable strategy for getting through content.

Considering that fun is subjective and that Sage is just more of the same, it will be interesting to see how such statements hold up once the honeymoon phase is over.
