Personally I spent an entire expansion playing watered down blue melee dps and pressing 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, as a healer and now we're getting ready to go into another expansion of the same, with some nonsense "pure" and "barrier" tags thrown in the mix. Sure I'm looking forward to Endwalker, I'll probably have fun, but some parts suck, I've waited 2 years and I'm tired of being told to wait more, so I'll continue to provide feedback that I think it sucks.

Of course communication is a good thing...when it is clear. All I am saying is that some of it was too vague.

Like, what does it mean that I need to use my tank cooldown at the optimal time for greater benefits? Is it just like TBN for all tanks? Are we going back to a shield swipe type of thing? Or is it purely defensive?
What are those single target buffs for healers? Is that going to change healers playstyle a lot? Casting offensive buffs on party member instead of just spamming glare? Or are those another long defensive oGCD cooldown to cast on the main tank? They gave basically no information on that aside from the fact that it exists. I think it was more needed to explain this rather than the new fancy white mage AoE HoT...I did not need to know that Fluid Aura was gone either. It's the only action that they said they removed. Does that mean it is actually the only one they removed?...Or did they just put that line in their slides for the meme?...
And everybody complains about Scholar, mostly because nothing was said about it (and because nothing flashy was shown for it in the trailer, which is fine IMO)...

As I said, they give either too much information or not enough.
It's like "We give you X,Y and Z, but we will just explain you what Y and Z are. We don't want to tell you what X is yet."

I agree with the sentiment it needs to either be an all or nothing thing either give us all the job details with tooltips or say nothing till you are ready to do this

The issue they have created is two fold -

One group is all doom and gloom and writing off jobs such as scholar and bard and maybe they are right but we don't know cos insufficient info was given

On the other hand we have the people praising things like summoner but again based on insufficient info so when it actually releases people will be annoyed it doesn't play like they thought it was gonna

The media tour is basically a very restricted PTR where only a selected few can test things for a couple hours[...]

That's an interesting comparison, but I'm not sure it's an accurate one.
Journalists/Influencers main purpose in the media tour isn't to rigorously test the expac and report bugs to SQEX, but to gather material for news articles and videos.

Who cares if people want to complain about it? There are always going to be people not happy with the job design but that shouldn't mean the rest of us don't get a preview of what's to come. As a MNK main I'm very happy with the direction they're going. I'm also excited to play a real SMN finally, and most of the others jobs seem fine.

You act like it's never a good time for feedback, but there is a rather large and rather sweet spot between the first Savage tier (where everyone gets to try the jobs fully geared up in endgame content) and early info about the next expac about a year later.

I am not trying to discourage you from giving feedback, and constant feedback is still important and valuable and you should totally be giving it, but that year-ish period I highlighted seems to be when the devs are more receptive to feedback if anyone wants a big target ; )

Communication is a good thing.

In my opinion square enix approach of making these live letters are much better than blizz, that make news of game much more vague, if they have something to say. Yoshi team is very polite and friendly, much different than blizz, wen a player are unsatisfied with cellphone game, blizz ask: "don't you have cellphone?"
