Anyone else think that the bozja relics look lazy?

Nah they look fine. Aside from the OP obviously trolling, the thread is just filled with opinions (yep even mine).

I personally like how the glow looks on some more than others and I like the more grounded simple look of some of the weapons. It reminds me of designs before the game went full nuts on adding unnecessary bits and bobs to everything in an attempt to "fantasy" it up. Style and art are subjective -shrug-

Even with people trolling I still think the OP is right on the topic at hand - I too was very disappointed when I looked at the pictures yesterday. It was the same with the Hydatos weapons back in Eureka: While I liked some of the steps in-between very much, the "finished goods" don't came out that well.

But looking at the bright side, that also means that I don't have to finish all the weapons and can stop with the grind after maybe 2 or 3.

Imagine thinking clearing ultimate is something to do with skill rather than that of a time sink :'D. Its more of a time commitment than skill

UCoB Weapons: Trash. The glow only looks good on some weapons
UwU Weapons: Reused models of the anima and zeta relics (Not even the good stages of said relics either ew) . Glow looks OK
TEA weapons: SAM, PLD sword, DRK, GNB, WHM, and SCH weapons look good. The rest are....OK (at best). I do like the glow tho...

At least these relics are new models rather than rehashed models like the ultimate weapons :'D

Anyway, back on topic: The only weapons that look nice from this relic collection in my opinion would be the WHM and GNB weapons. The others range from downright ugly to OK

I have to see them in actual action before a I make a decision, but it really feels like Eureka all over again. They haven't given us a good final form since HW relics.

Sadly yes, I like the NIN tho but not as a relic.
And green for NIN also feels weird, most of the colors feel like they're wrong for the Jobs really.
The GNB one looks alright too but I still wish it had just an overall glow instead of the crystal thing.

I think that my issue with them is that I feel like they lack direction, it's like they wanted to keep them as overall non-glowing, but still have glow and crystals but also kinda not.
If they were going with a crystal theme I would rather have gotten a full on crystal weapon, and if they're gonna glow it should be stronger imo.
Especially for the strongest one this expansion.
The crystals also kinda lack volume and look more like paper taped on.

But yeah, I am being very critical right now because they're relic weapons.
If they weren't and they were raid drops or whatever I wouldn't be as critical.

I am actually a bit relieved too.
But at the same time I am not relieved for a good reason lol.

I think I am mostly disappointed about the fact that I don't like the SAM and MNK ones when those are the two I am definitely going to get since they're my mains ( and maybe NIN ).
But I am pretty uninterested in getting any of the others, while with the last relics I was actively grinding them for Jobs I play less actively for the mog.
