Honestly, a male viera appearing in the save the queen story alongside Fran as a representative of the wood-warders who finally decided to fight the empire, would be a great teaser and an amazing way to fix the lore.

XII Viera DO look more feral, they have 3-toed feet with claws, also have claws on their hands with long fingers, their faces are a touch "wilder", their ears are slightly different, and generally have longer, ganglier limbs. It seems they were humanized more for XIV, which I understand, after all, if they were TOO different they'd be (more of) a pain to model gear for.
Also from what it seems, Matsuno WASN'T contacted; well, yes and no: He WAS asked during Stormblood and he gave his version of the Male Viera, but the team eventually did their own thing. From his twitter, it seems Matsuno still loved their look (And was pretty hyped about the FanFest in general). Given how hyped and involved he seems in the expansion, I'm hoping he gets asked back, after all, he's no longer an EMPLOYEE at SE, but a guest writer specifically hired because of Yoshi-P's request.

To be fair to our current viera, they weren't created for FFXII, they were created for Tactics Advance. And in that game, they have the normal number of toes and some of them are wearing normal, flat shoes. Some of them also have the long fingers and claws, but others have normal hands. The assassin, sniper, white mage, and summoner art for the Tactics Advance viera look exactly like what we have now, 3 years before FFXII was a thing.XII Viera DO look more feral, they have 3-toed feet with claws, also have claws on their hands with long fingers, their faces are a touch "wilder", their ears are slightly different, and generally have longer, ganglier limbs. God I'm really praying that the /happy incorporates a binky somehow into it.
a head shake and a heel click!
The height debate won't end until 6.1 at the soonest lmao.I remember when Fran was shown in game and afterwards all the screenshots of players standing next to her. I imagine the same thing will happen if a male viera NPC shows up in the Bozja/Zadnor storyline. Maybe it will end the height debateEven if they don’t show a male viera, it would be nice to see viera at all showing up in great numbers. We’ve only seen a few viera from the source and I like the idea of of a viera army

The debate over how tall they actually are will end when we get the benchmark and see the height sliders for ourselves. The debate over how tall people want them to be, on the other hand.....
97% of male Viera will be set to minimum height anyways so likely around the same height or shorter than the average female Viera players, unless they're significantly taller, but I doubt that.

I kinda don't care anymore, once I'm playing mine I'll never check a male viera thread again, except for glams, gotta keep myself informed about the real endgame.
Expecting to be a proud member of the 3%.

I will make my male viera max height! That's how I like them! I don't think that many will be min height, usually for males players go for tall.
