I am fully on board with the main purpose of this thread though. With all the negativity and rants in other threads, SE may well think they should have just never added any new houses at all.

I know there is luck involved, and I am sorry some had super bad luck with multiple tech glitches over and over again. I was a first time buyer, very well prepared thanks to advice from experienced house-hunters.

I did get the lobby error, re-queued again, was 685 in the queue, and when I eventually got in, much of the district I wanted (Lavender Beds) was still open (on a pretty high-pop server too), so I easily got to one of my top choices (just a small). I had many backup plans, including camping one of the old ward plots through the day and if that didn't work out either, getting an apartment until the next time houses are released.

So I do want to say thank you to SE for at least making some wards available. They wouldn't know it from all the hate that is being hurled at them in this forum - but anything they are able to add, whether content or housing, is appreciated, especially during this time when life is pretty rough for most.
