Guess its been going on for awhile but first time I encountered it today. Decided to jump into Main Scenario on reset with a newbie who seemed interested in the story. Well hopefully they enjoyed the cut scenes because it was pretty much all we could do. Seems like 4 others were logging out then back in to skip the scenes which resulted in bosses being dead or very low before anyone could even do anything. I ended up leveling during the final cutscene which, I admit, gave me a small chuckle but like, really?

I only want to get irritated because you know people who take advantage of this are going to ruin it for others, next thing we know you accidentally DC, gotta watch the whole thing over again.

I'm kind of surprised they haven't found a way to put in an "Invincible until everyone is out of cut scene" type of thing for those dungeons.

It's been so long since I ran into that I thought people had stopped doing it. I guess I was wrong.

Today I met what was probably the worst AST I've ever encountered.

Got Quitana Ravel in levelling roulette as a PLD.

While fighting the first big add, I start hearing the aspected helios/benefic sound every 3-4 seconds and look at the party list. The AST in question was literally spamming said moves + benefic I + celestial opposition when the only one taking damage was me, and just a regen would have sufficed. That, coupled with nocturnal sect, meant they were hovering all the time around 3k mp. Obviously no malefic nor cards either.

It got so bad that I actually had to mute the game to keep my sanity.

Jump forward to the first boss, the senseless spamming continues and one of the dps dies. Normally, they would be raised immediately, but our AST only had like 2k mp left, and since they didn't use cards at all, they couldn't raise them while being busy overhealing. Unsurprisingly, the healer is the next to die while the boss still has 40% hp remaining, and I proceed to show them how unnecessary all their healing spam was by beating the boss with the remaining DPS.

Sadly, they learned nothing, and this trend kept going till the very end of the dungeon.

I'm a MNK and at some time, the MCH starts talking "lol, this MNK right, spendind a LB on trash rofl"

And that goes on during the last boss, until I leave the dungeon.

The point is: I used no LB. Giott did.

It's a dumb thing to whine about anyway, sometimes I use melee LB on trash just to troll thin-skinned people like that for fun.

If they didn't talk then it was likely a bot. Sometimes you'll get a bot and their 'Controller' in the same duty (aka, the person who created the bot and has access to the scripts). They are usually easy to spot when you call out the bot and they immediately try to defuse the situation by...saying anything really. Sometimes even by switching to the bot and saying something but usually the bot is silent. I had one in the Twinning once. As a RDM. That was a slow, agonizing run for certain.
