    What even!?

Sorry OP but that is horrible advice to give to any new player. You are greatly over-exaggerating the situation.

90 days is a huge amount of time and the game tosses experience by the bucket load as you level your first job through the game.

ARR has a lot of dialouge to read. Crafter and Gatherer quests have a lot of dialouge to read - and depending on how you level them that can take quite some time. Considering his level 53 monk is the highste DoW/DoM he has, getting his miner up to 67 must have been quite painful - his monk only being 53 means that he probably doesnt has access to HW-areas and for sure not to SB, where the nodes for level 50+ or 60+ are found.

So I can easly see how he "wasted" his 90 days of bonus exp on leveling crafting and gathering job through uneffienct methods, taking a lot of time - and now he feels like he shouldnt have spent that much time on those jobs and focussed on leveling instead. It would be a pretty eloborate prank to slow-level a miner in ARR-areas to 67 just to create a troll thread.

Either way: One can for sure take their time playing through the mainstory without ever worrying about exp, wether they have the new character bonus or not. Given that you use the right methods for leveling your job in question, leveling is quite quick and easy aswell.
And at the end of the day its a game - and you should enjoy playing it. So best to figure out what it is you enjoy the most and then find a way to ensure you can focus on that.

Edit: Just for the record though... in a sense the OP has a point. Leveling gatheres and crafters this much ahead without access to the new areas is indeed silly. But not because of the new character bonus, just because its an extremly uneffecient way of leveling.

A twitch streamer/youtube reviewer named SkillUp went from 1-80 in about a month. He didn't rush, he worked at a steady pace and enjoyed himself. Now I hardly expect anyone to play 6-8 hours a day for 4 days a week but you can easily stretch that time out and still be done in the 90 day time limit with the buff.

I'm calling it trolling because he said his reason for not being 70 was reading quest dialog, that had nothing to do with it clearly. He chose to spend his time leveling every doh/dol for some reason then he jumped on here making a thread giving bad "advice"

If not it's kinda worthless anyway.

yes, road to 70 applies to quest exper, hunt logs, levequest, GC turn in, everything. It's a really powerful buff and should have been something we could choose over delete all quests up to 70, jump potions.

Taking 90 days to reach level 70 isn't being a 'casual player'.

That's just straight up not playing the game. Or at least not even attempting to make MSQ progress for over a month.

Not like the buff matters anyway. Just do a few more quests and you won't know the difference.

That is an insane amount of time even if you do all that for sure.

Maybe if you were playing like and hour or two a day max?

Oh there it is. Even I couldn't do that. Crafting is BORING.

As Luke said, OP spent most his time crafting and crafting does take a bit of time to do, plus doing the gathering things.
No only that, OP is doing the MSQ as a DPS, so that takes even more time and couple that with daily life...then...yeah...not sure what was expected lol.

That's not good advice anyway - there's no reason to rush one job to max level. They may be going on the outdated information that the amount of bonus EXP you get on second jobs is affected by the level of your highest job - it is not. Any job other than your highest will get an EXP boost based on its own current level and nothing else.

Also, your advice to "get to dungeon level and do nothing but level" makes it sound like you're recommending grinding Sastasha, which would be absolute hell - and certainly not efficient use of your double EXP.

Do quests. Enjoy those quests. Do your daily roulettes for big chunks of bonus EXP every time. You'll get to max level eventually, and it's not that exciting to be there.
