Well, it is a thing to have opposing opinion, but the dude clearly just wanted to troll the XIV community.

I believe the quote was in reference to asking Square to remove his video. This would not be a good idea. People need to see that this guy doesn't know what he is talking about (refer to my earlier post as to why i think he is not qualified in his opinion). People are allowed to troll and that's how his viewers and subscribers should know him "a troll" that way they don't take future reviews too seriously either.

Agreed! YouTubers actually research what they talk about instead of bashing players and devs that don't agree with the author's personal beliefs.

There are a lot of video's criticizing FFXIV without resorting to insults and bashing and those are respected, rather than this one.

If he wanted respectful replies, maybe he should have been respectful as well.

Stopped watching this guy's videos years ago. All he ever does is rush through MMOs to deem them worthy of playing or not.

I'm not the world's biggest FF14 fan as I think the game has some pretty big flaws that should have been addressed years ago but that video is pure trash.

She isn't calling out the whole community, just the people attacking TLP while claiming that FFXIV's community is one of the best. In other words, she's calling out hypocrites.

I haven't seen the video yet, but I have watched most of his reviews. I can't see him "shamelessly bashing" FFXIV. Especially since he's done other reviews on it and they've been fair and positive.

There was no false claim made. She pointed out that there are people asking SE to take down his video. That's not "expressing their disagreement" Actually go read what she wrote.

Being serious. Dunno who this guy is. That being said, even if I did, who cares what their opinion is at the end of the day. Much like anything, its ok to listen to people's thoughts on things, but if you absolutely decide not to do something because 1 critique said it was trash then thats on you. If youre interested in something, youll do the work and look into it yourself. If you decide you dont want to play FFXIV after 1 dudes opinion on the game, then you probably wouldnt be a good fit anyways.

Pretty much FFXIV only strong point is it's story and world building, the effort put into player models, how our equipment looks and skill animations, and the music.

The gameplay itself is feels unfortunately quite monotonous, mainly because of the +2s cooldowns, even when weaving skills in between. Then there is how there is scarcely any random patterns during bosses, so each repeated battle is essentially the same... Not to mention the never ending fight with your own inventory.

Sort of related on the topic of critics and how things go but I remember Alita getting piled on and loving it and then Captain Marvel getting praised and I thought it was just okay. Or I have a guilty pleasure with Will Farrel movies but I don't think any of them get higher than a 6 in ratings lol.

The reason he says that at the end is because he's made other review videos where he was attacked, just like he's being attacked now, by that game's fans because he didn't praise everything about the game and had the absolute audacity to say something wasn't done well. He predicted how this community would behave and .... like Pavlov's dog, here you all are attacking him.
