Just had scholar at 70 for like 2 weeks

I leveled ast a long time ago and i finally found the role i liked the most to play in the game. So i decided to level all healers to find my favorite one for SHB.

I leveled White mage first then scholar after. I got to admit, at first sch was the one i was least interested in. But once I figured out that it was a healer/dps role i really liked it. I was planning on leveling sch first in the new expansion. But now im reading that the dps aspect was removed im pissed lol. Only got to enjoy it for like 2 weeks .

WoW went the way of homogenizing classes and look how lame that game is now. I don’t understand why developers think that every class should have access to the same skills to the point where your party composition doesn’t matter anymore.

To be fair, leveling SCH will always be 100% more engaging then leveling WHM or AST, because you can just level as a SMN and switch to SCH for dungeons.

Barely. The class has been stripped of nearly all defining characteristics. It's a shame.

From the sounds of it sch will have the same type of dps skills as the other healers. The reason i liked scholar was because the dps on the other healers was...tbh boring. Now that sch dps will be just as boring as the others i may as well go a white mage since they are more of a pure healer or ast since they have tons of support in their cards and can be hots or shields.

Im hoping im wrong and at level 80 sch will have back its dps healer identity but im not holding out hope for it

Oh I didn't lose energy drain, bain, shadowflare, miasma i/ii, and enhanced aeitherflow? Oh thank goodness! Here I thought I was stuck with broil/ruin 2, bio, and expensive and inferior miasma ii art of war. Also when will I be getting back bio/bio2 being their own thing again? Is shadowbringers also bringing back thunder 1 and aero?! Thank goodness my identity that was slowly being stripped away is coming back! I was really scared that I was going from having 8 skills in sb to only having 3.5 skills that are not sustainable bc they are either too expensive (art of war) or we have no way to sustain our mp without life saving skills like energy drain and enhanced aether flow! you're losing skills but you'll still be able to dps. calm down.
