I don't know why so many people give BA premades trash for claiming instances.

I have never been in hydatos so I don't have a horse in this race. However the level of entitlement I've seen from player regarding BA is absolutely ridiculous. Like what goes through a persons head that they think its fair going into a portal like that when there is a group of 56 people wanting to do something together. I know the portals are all open but like, how can you think your are being remotely useful just showing up like that. It'd be like someone turning to your raid night randomly and demanding to be accommodated. People know this content is basically unpuggable, and joining the Discord is free. Its just common respect you know?

It's just common respect as you pointed out. The discord groups are not trying to monopolize instances. We've spent lots of times jumping from one instance to another because there was a group there trying to do BA (doesn't matter if it was a discord group or a pug, which never happened since in NA they don't pug it lol). And if that didn't work we try to have a new instance forced up so we can do it.

And there are a lot who know that, but they don't want to spend time waiting to queue in or just want to have an easy clear (not talking about new players) and still do that. It's not against TOS, it just makes you a trashy person if you did. Just like you shouldn't trap parties in PF and join something above your progression level, just because you can do it.

Now it's just a wait time. It may take long to manage to start BA, but blame SE for that. At least you'd still get the chance to have a fully organized party that you can learn from easily.

It's probably going to be hard to someone not used to using discord or VoIP software. That's why we just try till we learn them or ask those who do know. But at least they got it working!

You've got 150 people in an instance, and perhaps not everyone in there is part of the discord but wants to go in. If you want to make sure everyone gets in, and you don't want to risk having your portals "sniped" (it's a public instance and a public dungeon, so really portals are and should be first come, first served) perhaps your group should do the work ahead of time to enable you to claim the portals before they're all available to the public.

If that's too much work for you, then all parties involved should get what they get, and at the end of the day, everyone needs to shop being shitty to each other. People who get into a portal who aren't part of the group shouldn't be harassed or treated poorly because they beat someone to a portal, and if you see someone waiting on a portal, you should probably go look for another one.

Like I said, BA runs simply don't happen on the western server without the discord groups. You can say it's a public dungeon all you want but the people sniping portals only ever do it when a premade is present and they do it so they can skip all the time the premade committed to getting a run to actually happen.

There's honestly no excuse for snipers who aren't new and know about the premades. They know pug groups don't exist and they know they could just join the discord but they don't want to commit the time and would rather screw over someone else than pull their weight in getting a group going.

Also if you are part of the premade and someone is waiting at your portal you can't just "look for another one" because every member of the premade are assigned to a specific portal.

they dont happen because premade dominates the culture, its a self fullfilling prophecy. the reality is, its not your portal, it never was. If people want dibs on a portal they are supposed to use the aether crap.

the excuse for snipers is that this content is specifically designed not to be premade. You all are essentially warping the design of BA for your own desires and wants. Like i said its too late now, but cut the riteous bull ish. You are not owed a portal, you are not being persecuted.

this is like someone complaining in pagos when someone completes the bunny fate, so they cant farm light. The dude completing the bunny fate is playing as intended, the guys abusing level sync for light/exp are borderline exploiting. I totally get being annoyed some one is disrupting your plans, but dont act like you are riteous, keep your venom to yourself.

Ba is literally made the way it is so that no player can exclude any other player from the content whenever it is happening. Half of the discords purpose is to filter and exclude players from BA runs. The vast majority of players accept discords cheese, a few people refuse. Yall should really be fairly happy it works as well as it does, with only one or 2 players attempting to get in per run.

I mean, I've been in tons of instances where everyone is silent about BA even after 2-3 kills of Ovni. It's only when the premades enter the instance two hours later that these same people suddenly want to jump into BA. Interesting isn't it, when they were given multiple chances earlier to convince the people of the instance to join them in a PUG run and didn't, despite (in your words) wanting to participate in "any" BA run that spawns?

Let's not kid ourselves, the reality is that the vast majority of these snipers are only interested in BA if there's a chance they can clear it, hence why BA is dead outside of premades (heck, I wouldn't have touched BA with a hundred foot pole if it wasn't for the amazing system the discord has set up). Half of these snipers wouldn't even be setting foot into BA period if the content was pure impossible to premade; I can guarantee the vast majority of them aren't sniping to "simply participate". Think of it another way, why do you think people lie about their experience in primal/savage runs in PF? People naturally enjoy better odds of succeeding at things. A fully cleared party except you increases the odds you can be dragged to a clear drastically; just as a BA premade massively increases your odds of clearing infinitely times more than any truly non-discord PUG BA ever could.
