Behavior aside, and while unfortunate for the new tank, this is a legit kick IMO.

At the end of the day, this is a team game. Everyone but the tank wanted a faster pace. As teammates in a team activity, you have every right to request the tank increase the pace.

This isn't all that different from kicking a healer that refuses to heal large pulls or kicking a dps that refuses to AoE. At some point, they just aren't being team players.

It's a team game but one needs to think about context here. The tank is new to the layout of the dgn. Tank don't know where he/she's supposed to stop pulling, if there's some weird environmental interaction in between the pulls, what kind of mobs are in there so it's perfectly understandable that one would rather err on the side of caution. Also, all it takes is a moment of introspection to admit to oneself that "wait a min, when I was doing this the first time, I too didn't know the layout".

There's always exception to the rules, written or unwritten. What an individual or group decides to do with that is up to them.

100% agree here. Kicking a tank because they weren't wall to wall pulling on a dungeon they were seeing for the first time -- which everyone in that party was aware of because of the new bonus -- is a jerk move.

Not the new tank's fault those guys waited to the last minute to get their gen tomes, if that was part of the issue. I was in a group the other night in a similar situation - me and a buddy in expert roulette got The Burn. We wanted a fast speedrun before we both were logging out for the night, and we got two Viewing Cutscenes with the new player bonus. You know? We could have dipped right there. But we didn't - cause while maybe disappointed it would be a slower run, we're not jerks would dip on new players. And yes, Mist Dragon took 3 or 4 pulls and it was suuuper late, but we stayed and we cleared, and they got their clears as well.

I hate how people do something one or two times and get all exasperated when everyone else isn't "on their level" or some garbage.

I was in World of Darkness on the first boss and if:

1. I'm MTing on PLD while in Shield Oath
2. I've used ALL my cooldowns trying to defend myself
3. I'm one boss cleave away from dying
4. And you're on SCH casting Ruin at this very moment

YOU'RE DOING YOUR ROLE WRONG

And then I died to the next cleave.

Oh, and level 50 SCH PSA - It's a DPS gain to use Ruin II + auto attack and if you're playing right, you won't run the risk of running out of MP.

This is (unfortunately) a common thing in the Crystal Tower raids: healers not bothering casting heals and just dps'ing. I know you are supposed to dps as well but you main job is still to heal the group ...

Now that I think about it, yeah. That actually has happened with me as a tank. WHM never used Regen on me, nor used Cure II or anything. SCH would heal me every few 10 seconds, but clearly not enough. It was about a month ago and in the LotA. I first noticed the lack of heals on the third mini-boss fight with the bomb and the three gargoyles. I turned Grit off after getting myself high on the enmity list, but then turned it back on for the extra defence because my HP dropped to the triple digits. Didn't KO, but lordy loo healers.

They let me KO on King Behemoth, though. I wasn't MT, but I was tanking the Giants. No heals whatsoever this time (aside from Eos), not even a Benediction to save me from Walking Dead's Doom counter. "Please heal me, hello?"

The other healer was an AST who had died at least three times during the fight. I feel like they were alive at this point but not quite sure what their MP pool was like. Pretty sure they could've saved me too but *shrugs* WoD has been messy the last few times I've ran it on PLD for alliance DR .-.

It's frustrating as I'm trying to heal and help with some adds during one fight :/
