The quote isn't an insult it's a fact. No author of a book or someone citing a book will take into account people's devices and how they modify it (there could be hundreds of configurations). That's not an attack that's pointing out how changing settings is your own circumstance. I don't think you know what insults mean.

Oh my god. Almost to 8 pages and this “debate” is still going on? This is a discussion forum. Not a university term paper, masters thesis, or dissertation. Personally, I think it’s much easier to link to the exact post you are referencing, which this forum gives you the ability to do, rather than link a page and basically tell people to go find it. It has nothing to do with the “proper” way to cite something, because this isn’t a term paper. It’s a forum thread.

I thought this thread was supposed to be about Eureka rewards, but it’s still about the “proper” way to cite a source. Which is irrelevant here.

The TC chooses to keep auguring about these irrelevant points though. It would be as you say if the TC would just say "thank you for the advice" like most people, like other people pointed out. instead they chose to keep auguring to argue.
