May be misrembering this, but I believe part of the Scholar job quests from 60 to 70 take you into Amdapor solo. You're on a hunt to heal a Tonberry whose strange purple 'fairy' has landed her in a coma, and you end up fighting a 'guardian' of some type. The quest starts at Camp Tranquil so pretty sure it's Amdapor. I'll have to look the dialogue up and get back to you though: it's been a while
