The "Change this mount music" megathread

I'd like them to fix Sephirot's bird. That's the only one that really bothers me. It has had the default first half music all of the warring triad play and it's been out for how long? There's no way SE doesn't know. It's been mentioned a lot off and on in game and on the forums.

I could recommend and easier solution: play your own music while you play the game. Sure its a "stirring stick & duct tape" solution but imo its far less of a hassle than asking for features that take alot of work to implement with minimal returns. If its possible at all.

Try playing the game with music from different RPG's in fitting situations. Like persona 5's Life Will Change during Praetorium. Or the airwolf theme while flying the falcon. Its quite entertaining.

I'm pretty sure the devs have said something to the effect that having a mount music orchestrion would be too much work that takes away from the development of other features (and content) that they want implemented. Whereas, we KNOW they can change the track to the mounts (as they have done it for Terra's theme).

Well, they're doing 1 dungeon less to do more feature so, isn't this excuse shitty?

That also assumes that they have kept the same dev skills team (I haven't checked) or that they don't have to completely rebuild the sound system as I remember one interview saying about changing some aspect of the orchestrion.

Each to their own that breaks the immersion for me i'm never doing that again.

The generic mount music is cute and all (when you can hear it), but the Falcon is a signature mount from the same game as next to half of the stuff added in Stormblood. Theme's got to come with it.

Well, at the very least, give it the default flying mount theme Borderless - the boring old generic mount theme Rider's Boon just doesn't suit it at all. The irony of having Searching for Friends as it's theme though is I wonder how many people would even know the reference?

It was that day that made me wonder if Yoshida knows most of the English speaking playerbase hasn't touched another FF game and it's even worth putting in these little musical allusions to appropriate mounts? Not that it matters but it comes off as strange given what the game is going for. A FFMMO for Final Fantasy fans.
