1 Housing Plot Per Account (not character) Solves Housing Crisis

Yeah it is absolutely despicable that we all pay the same for this game and yet cant access certain content. I want SE to keep the wards, but also let us have dimensions like Rift or SWTOR or ESO has for individual housing. Plus, some of us dont want to live in a crappy cramped suburb of a city. I want a nice residence in the forest. Give me my own instance for that!

I feel the quickest solution would simply do it by a server to server basis. This server have empty plots. No need for a new Ward. This server every single house is taken, new ward needed and so on. You will also release the grip people have on buying multiple houses for the sole purpose of flipping them if they can't hold the monopoly on it.

Honestly, the cynic in me thinks they aren't doing this purposely to entice people onto less populated servers.

Except even the less populated servers (like Louisoix) have almost ran out of plots if not straigght up run out. Using Louisoix as an example: all Mist + Lav Beds taken, no Large left in any of the Goblet, only a small handful of Mediums left, and a slightly larger handful of Small left.

I am having the same issues on Brynhildr. I keep finding several houses with the same house name that all have the same house name followed by something like 20-23 then right beside it it the next one is 24-27. The description even blatantly stated that they are alt houses. I pay for all the services that the game offers just to have them slap me in the face. Never in over 10 years of playing MMORPG's have I seen such neglect of provision.

I'm on Brynhildr myself. I've finally scraped together enough money to buy a small seaside plot and house in Shirogane, but I already know I'm most likely going to be disappointed.

SE needs to fix how many spaces are available, not punish users who are using the system the way it is available. Next, you guys will complain that no one should be allowed to have multiple retainers because it allows them to make more gil.

Burden of restriction? Some people are just bad people and that's why we need rules and restrictions. Just because you can buy a gun for self-defense, doesn't mean you can go and shoot just anyone in the face and take their money. What is it with these people trying to rationalize bad unmoral behavior these days, sounds like druggie (wait I mean 'medicated') talk to me.

Having multiple retainers doesn't affect others players ability to acquire them. Having multiple houses does.

Well, IMO the first fix they need is to split the garden, the workshop and the stables from the house system and let every player and FC have access to it via an instanced area (like the squadron barracks or the workshop itself). Doing that ensures that everyone has access to all the real benefit of having a house.

The house itself should be something "useless" aimed at people that enjoy building their own place or use it for RP.

Surprisingly companies not as prestigious as Square can handle those type of things. Just like the dimensions in Rift or the fact a small fee to play like Gameforge ensures each player a house as part of the starting quest like in Runes of Magic.
