I was probably pretty vocal about my frustration about not being able to get through. But not knowing when you'd get in the duty was the most difficult part. So, now that I've made it past and into Kugane, I just wanted to say thank you for addressing the issue.

Going forward, I hope the devs will learn from this. And here's to whatever 4.0 has in store for us!

I'm hoping people learn from this. If you don't have the patience and ability to stay calm, don't rush the main content on an early access. I don't like rush hour to work, so I drive a bit earlier. We knew this rush would happen and yet people go in and then complain that the players ddos'ing an msq actually crashes it.

Well, you can't blame players. Everything is literally gated behind that msq, and it was causing issues even on old content.

Learn what, not to buy early access? Assuming that's even something SE wants (spoilers: it's not), we'd just be moving the bottleneck to actual release. Beyond that, good luck coordinating players worldwide who want to play the game they've paid money for, both for the expansion as well as the subscription. How dare they.
Wanting to play a game is not unreasonable, especially in a P2P game. As understanding as I and others can be regarding this predicament, there is nothing the players can do - more importantly, not much we should do. If you're the bigger person and you walk away from the queue, someone else is going to get in in your place and get better value for the money they paid compared to you because they're playing the game the way they want to and you're not. And no one's going to do that because we shouldn't have to.

The only people who can learn anything from it is SE, like implementing a sort of queue system for solo instances. Sure, it might take you two hours, but it'll be two hours of gathering or crafting or running FATEs or side quests or what not, in other words, actually playing the game, at the end of which you're guaranteed to get in - two things that the current situation didn't allow assuming you wanted to get on with MSQ - a desire that had nothing wrong with it.

If you can't do anything besides the msq then I'm very sorry for you, that's a narrow way to play a good game. As for the unsub and sub, I really hope aren't one of those people who flips his lids and looks for another ISNP or Power company when the power or net is out. I was there with Rhauban and login same as you, difference is patience and experience. I'm a bit of hypocrite, I should take what I preach and stop dealing with the angry mob that appears on every popular mmo launch.

I'd LOVE to get to kugane sooner. I didn't. But I could do 90% of the game, it's and early access, not a launch so I treated it as another day in HW. But with new classes and crafters leveling up. Also pvp is now a blast.

The question isn't a matter of ability but of will. It is a game we paid money for. You're content with waiting and doing other things in the meanwhile, and that's your right - just as it is other people's right to want to power through the MSQ and be upset when the game effectively doesn't work. And what of people who play older content, but were also affected by this? A guildie of mine got locked before getting the Black Chocobo in HW because it too required a solo instance. Then there are people who wanted to run roulettes, who were also affected by this. Are they supposed to look for other means of playing the game, too? I mean, some of these things are what you're suggesting the Raubahn crowds could go and do, but alas - they're locked. People even had the problem of accessing the RDM and SAM job solo instances.

What we have here is two fold:
1. People can play the game however they want and there is nothing wrong with prioritizing MSQ over side-quests, alt classes, and non-battle classes.
2. This affected more than just the pre-access crowd who wanted to run MSQ and thus, points to a much more basic failure on SE's part. I'd be a lot more in agreement with you if truly this only affected The Binding Coils of Raubahn - but it didn't.

I been through hell and high seas same as you. Qued in the minute it opened, been queing since then whenever booted. I'm not talking outta my ass without experiencing the same things others did.

I pay money for internet, power and newspaper too. Do I unsub and find a new company each time net or power goes down or my newspaper isn't delivered on time? Services go down everywhere.

I get the whole "we pay for it", chances are there's a clause in user agreement that warns of downtime and you agreed to it without reading same as me. But we're trying to rush into early opening of disneyland and complaining everyone else is bogging up the traffic lanes and rides trying to get their free ride too. I paid for HW. SB is not charged yet, if yours is, maybe try shopping on SE store instead of retails who want your money upfront. MSQ was annoying, but throwing tantrums because you're unwilling to do something else isn't helping anyone. If everyone who got pissy about MSQ and took a day off, the patient rest would be getting through sooner, clearing up the bottleneck for the unpatient players next day.

We lost two good people in our Free Company because of the frustration and people getting at one another saying things they wouldn't had this not happened. It was stressful for many sadly. I love this game too much to let something like this sour me on waiting for a fix.
