And it doesn't need to be? Having a QUILTBAG character 'revealed' is just as simple as all the other items when people just casually talk about sex in the game. Walk around Limsa and see how much sex is talked about there. It's not hard and if you think it's laborious to do so you have poor writing skills.

Most mentions of "sex" are neutral, and they're extremely rare to begin with compared to the bulk of dialogue (also, mostly limited to the English/westerm version). There is absolutely zero reason for the writing team to create or "reveal" characters of any kind to appease to any group or agenda.

Everyone is very free to assign the sexual orientation they please to the massively overwhelming majority of characters in the game that express none.
