New diadem weapons invalidating any work from savage raiders and relic grinders

I think its fine, Ive gotten thru almost 3 animas and this ilv280 doesnt bother me. The chances of getting the weapon are stupidly low, I dont really see why people are complaining. The ilv280 weapons are just incentive, and guess what its working, people are still running daidem despite the backlash. I mean I cant really see diadem being run much later on if there was just sunbrust gear... so yeah...

Why is blind luck more rewarding than an entire questline for a legendary weapon though?

because that's how the lottery works. Why if I win the powerball lottery should I have more money for a lifetime than someone who busts their butt at a full time job everyday

You guys act like you got blindsided by this. Yoshi said in several interviews that he was trying to break away from people riding the BIS train and adding different gearing options.

And had the weapon been i275, that would have been fine. The lottery could have been another way to get BiS. Instead, it's now the only way.

And the lottery is the only way to win a lot of money without a lot of repercussions. Costs like £2 to get a lottery ticket in UK.

What is my anima now? A very good weapon. What would a script weapon be? A good weapon. The difference? The former took 1000x more time and effort.

Sorry, but a 'very good weapon' would have to be among the top four, at worst. Until they actually unlock the upgrade piece for scrip weapons, it's not a very good weapon, only a passable one. Triad/kinna weapons are alright weapons, but no one that actually cares about performance would actually call them 'good', only passable. So congrats, you earned a very good weapon instead of a mediocre one like the Kinna and triad~

Aside from Savage, I could still clear any current content with a Zurvan or Script weapon. Anima was still a complete waste of time and effort.

Except Savage, you can clear any content in the game with a Padjali/lore weapon, so by that metric gearing up at all past i235 would've been a waste of time.

I think everyone here is missing a very important point. What content is there that makes having a i280 weapon even worth it. I doubt someone is getting the weapon and say, oh now I'll start Alex savage, it just doesn't happen. There's no point in getting it if there's no purpose. There's nothing to do. Storm blood will have i280 weapons on tap at launch.
