Agree. The Coil was really epic, it was like a great exploration full of miracles and awesome secrets and revelations. But Alex is like a joke- some evil lalafels want to control the world. What a mess
too many vocal nubcakes who think they're entitled to the rewards sans effort because of....simple jealousy. Cmon, its bad enough that they already get entitled to the rewards in a measly 3-6 months time when everything gets eased and given away, they now want the stuff when its current.I personally, want to see the raiding scene left alone, and stop making nerfs to content that isn't designed for everyone. Normal mode was designed to give everyone a taste of the raid tier, savage doesn't need to be cleared by everyone, I thought that was the original premise.
This is pretty much what happens with my static. Besides the fact that 3.0 raids were boring and really uninteresting at all, after getting the 10 kills when a primal releases, they don't want to go back there and do 60+ runs to get mounts or mats that only a couple of us want. I spent 3 hours last night trying to get into a decent Zurvan party, not a single kill, and I'm not talking about not skipping soar being a problem.First static could clear less about ex trial, so if u want bird, u will have to farm it at ur own time, but due to no skill check, guess whos there to ruin ur experience, ppl that just assume they can do the latest content. I don\\'t see why we start giving tome gearsthats almost equally and in some cases better the savage gear to ppl that don\\'t bother to do content. They should keep all the lvl 60 hard mode dungeon and MSQ dungeon horizontially so they don\\'t have to cater to ppl if they don\\'t want to do content.
No it's not, but not knowing how to properly do it or adjust to it, really is. You can cheese 2nd one with tank lb, which would wipe parties if they ever get that far, but first one is the game deciding event that will let you know if your party is capable of farming Zurvan or not. Sorry I forgot to mention, i265+ requirement parties :^)

I think BIS is a good example of why gating actually useful content behind unneeded useless content is a bad idea. Bis ex weapons were never worthwhile getting and it dropped no other items anyone wanted at any decent rate. I hit 60 a few months after it was unlocked and It took me a really, really, long time to clear bismarck and even have a chance at ravana and I only did after ravana gating was unlocked anyway and it was outdated as well. (I stopped bothering trying because I was told it was going to be unlocked). It was really frustrating not being able to do current content because there was no incentive to do old content for people that were capable so I just spent hours and hours in PF trying to clear bis ex with new players just to be able to do more useful stuff.
Another issue for me in particular was that before I even hit 60 many large FCs with skilled players left famfrit to other servers as well so there was a large void of skilled players and the ones who stayed basically never played with anyone else.
This is another reason why you see A4S mount farms but never see A8S minion farms. Nobody cares about minions lol. If BIS mount existed from the beginning it would have helped new players a lot.
This is a lot easier to say than to do in practice, especially on a smaller server where a lot of people do not play outside their FC or friends list. Now it is probably easier to do with the cross-world PF though. Also you could tone it down a bit on the condescending way you wrote that out lol.

I felt the Binding Coil T5/T9 gating was necessary because of the story. However I do agree with the OP and the intent. Now with Alexander Story mode they ended up with a way out since Savage doesn't have anything different. So you didn't need A4S to go right into A5S, etc.
I'm not sure there is anything they can change in this area because all they do is slam the nerf bat pretty hard to the previous Savage tier when the new one comes out (which arguably they don't even need to do because of ilvl inflation, but that's another story). If you didn't experience the pain that A3S was before Midas Savage, it's too late there is no way to go back to the original difficulty even with minimal ilvl.
I got tired of Locus when where we wiping in A3S a lot back in Gordias Savage. Finally clearing that floor was like a sarcastic yay, now we get to do the even worse fight A4S, and arguably the worst capstone raid floor this game has ever brought us. Creator music is really good though, so there is that.

Quite a stupid idea which would only cause problems and lessen the already small raiding community.
So, a "pitcher" in baseball can't never be a "skilled player", because all he does is executing a memorized motion sequence.Memorizing a 100% scripted fight =/= skill. Memorizing isn't a skill, it's just following a checklist. An actual skill check would be a fight that not only involved a ton of mechanics, but equally difficult mechanics, requiring the party to actually adapt to the boss' actions as they came out rather than the easily exploitable alternative.
"A skill is the ability to carry out a task with pre-determined results often within a given amount of time, energy, or both."
You're wrong, differences in "player skill" are not just a result of different capabilities to memorize a boss rotation.

Another one of the issues with locking Midas savage behind Gordias savage was that it would cause even more people to quit raiding as well since they would _still_ just be fighting a3s/a4s and not anything new. At least with it unlocked people got to wipe to a new fight for a long time (a6s) rather than the same ones they had been doing already for months. Besides the story being the same, I think they realized that it would have a severe negative effect on the player base if they locked savage modes behind the previous one. There were two groups on Famfrit that cleared A4S. Most quit trying on A3S weeks before 3.2 came out. (a few 1-2 months tbh).I got tired of Locus when where we wiping in A3S a lot back in Gordias Savage. Finally clearing that floor was like a sarcastic yay, now we get to do the even worse fight A4S, and arguably the worst capstone raid floor this game has ever brought us.
