i find it really hard to see it as believable that most players of this game besides military members would be unable to log on for 5 minutes for almost a full month, so yes, its your fault you missed it.

I'm sorry you missed it deary, but let this be a lesson to double check the dates. Errors occur all the time, we are human so it's bound to happen, even with SE folks. No one is perfect after all. Always double check your dates/days to make sure you don't miss out on anything else.

EDIT: And please don't so rude and mean to OP, because they made an honest mistake. It happens to the best of us. Both SE and OP made a mistake, both are not devoid of blame. Like I said, we are all human, and we all make mistakes. There is absolutely no reason to be so rude. Instead of tearing someone down, give critique in a kind and understanding way. Yes, it said "Thursday the 6th", so if you looked at the date you'd see the "6th" part and wonder, well which is it the 6th, or Thursday? And if OP had done so, maybe they wouldn't have missed it. You don't think they know that? You don't think they're party kicking THEMSELVES internally for that part of it? Of course they are. Anyone in their situation would. So they were irritated and vented a bit by making a thread about SE's error (and let's not forget that SE DID make an error! It's not like this can be entirely blamed on OP). They're not hurting anyone by making the thread.
