I wish I was even remotely artistic haha. I'd love to see some unique ideas, like the turtle armor above. Something with less spikes and giant shoulder pads would be nice too.

For those saying its been done before, i was not aware. I never played XI or 1.0 so the only design contest i knew of was the hair design contest. Also if The Meteor Survivors Ring was a design contest, I would say that would be more accessory design over gear, but it's along the same lines. But regardless, lets get busy designing people, XD.

Thanks for the clarification! I clicked the OP's link and once on the NA page I changed the language via the top right corner options and the website changed to http:// eu.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/topics/...., so I thought that was the EU version of the article. It's strange that you have to re-enter the website to get the right version.

I was waiting for this contest ever since they mentioned it in a live letter and asked for our feedback.
They also stressed that they thought it would be a difficult contest since you need to adhere to the restrictions of the games gear design.

To be fair, they could have been indicating that they're from Quebec or any other part of the Americas that isn't included in the competition, in which case the EU thread wouldn't help either.
