I'm not angry physical levels are going, but i'm very angry physical levels were in to start with. Worst example of game development EVER, put in some fancy feature that has no sense or purpose other than marketing.

happy about the removal of physical levels.

I just think it sucks that I have worked all these months making myself extremely well-rounded--have leveled every job to at least 25, thereby earning high physical level though my highest ranked job is less than 40.
Now all that work will be null and void.
ALL those hours of actual, non-bot-assisted, grinding will be rendered absolutely meaningless, as all the points I've earned are cut, neutered in the worst meaning of the word, leaving me reduced to the rank, I'm sorry..."level" of each job I play.
First my CON was nerfed and I was given a choice between going healer or changing to another job. I changed jobs and began again with minimal fuss after the first shock of the situation.
Of course in another brilliant change mats I had painstakingly gathered were made worthless with ZERO compensation, but that was minor. It's just gil. I still had my skills and I like...... never mind. I won't say what I like. That will be the next thing taken away.
And now this. Months of play, of doing what the game was ORIGINALLY DESIGNED for...making myself a jack of all trades and making that work to my advantage rather than focusing on just one thing. That WAS the kind of player the game ORIGINALLY rewarded, but now it's just become the same old, same old, SAME OLD THING. Had I known that I'd have just stuck with FFXI and saved myself the heart ache. I put years of work into that game, but was lured by the promise of something new and special here, and all these giant leaps BACKWARD from a beautifully original idea are just heart breaking.
My loyalty is being sorely, sorely tested. I begin to understand why bots are the norm in this game rather than the exception. I don't even bother to report them any longer. My server crawls with them, and I totally and completely understand why. What possible reason exists to be honorable (other than one's own personal code of ethics) when we are jerked around by the developers in this way?
I have never in my life (and I am a very adult player) cheated in any game, but even *I* can understand how one could be tempted with all the nonsense that has gone on in this one. We barely find our balance after one fall before another foot sweep comes along.. It's like the developers are taking some sadistic delight in seeing how much punishment we will masochistically take before they deliver the final coup de grace and inform us they have decided not to go forward with the game at all.
Maybe that would be a relief.

Correct.. SE manipulated the questions, knowing how the vote would go. If there is a way to make it easier for themselves, that is the way SE will ALWAYS go. Patch servers rather than replace them, no redundancy (as in the tsunami, not as in temp issues) so that when one goes down, ALL go down unlike other world-wide games, etc.
They are notorious throughout the gaming industry for their tactics and we are seeing the results in the cluster-f..k this game has become.
When one team can't make the impossible happen under budget, fire them and ask another to do the impossible. When that doesn't work, just make a WHOLE NEW GAME...screw the players. Of course the game and the players suffer most in the end, but there will be enough people out there who will pay for the brand no matter what...sadly myself very likely included, because bad as it is, it still beats WoW.

Once automated, meaning less workload for SE and it's servers, don't be so TRUSTING that SE is going to give it back. SE has never worked that way in the past. Don't be so trusting that they will work that way in the future. Maybe endgame players will get merits, etc. like FFXI, but we are going BACKWARD, not forward, ppl. Everything new and different is being backwalked, and FAST, by this "great new development team."
I really wish the original vision could have come to fruition. I can live without immediate gratification. If something is truly good it's worth waiting for. This game could have been amazing! Now we can hope for slightly above average at best. It's a shame because visionary people put years of work into the original version of this just to see it abandoned unrealized. Sad.
If they're changing everything else, they might as well give us AH's back, with dates and times and prices of last sales like in XI. Now THAT is a change that would actually be useful. But that won't happen because it would create server load and be too hard on the bots, some of which I swear SE sponsors themselves. There are just SO MANY, and it would be a perfect way to regulate currency, which was a major problem in XI. Hmm... is that it? Am I the only person left who doesn't use them?
It would explain much...

I'm glad that physical levels are going, now I won't have to look at my attributes and wonder if I'm doing the right thing.
Only problem I see with it though is if the points automatically change to the best possible ones for each class, why would you ever want an alt, since one character would be excellent at everything?

Please consult your doctor before starting a mmorpg. Do not play mmorpgs if you have a life and other real world reponsibilities. Side effects may include: weight gain, pasty skin tone, greasy skin, acne, bad breath, out dated wardrobe, shoes lasting longer than origionally planned, dirty habitation, eye strain, depression, anxiety, crabbiness', increase in 1337 speak, confusion, insomnia, loss of appetite, sore thumbs, sore bums, tingling hands, stroke, heart attack, pulmonary embolism, constipation, high blood pressure, diabetes, shortened life span, chain smoking, connectile disfunction and death.

Let's see...
If you level up your Physical Level to 50, you could possibly be more effective with other classes.
Making this step is kind of going to let us customize our classes better, so we can customize one class in a different way than another with the points based on our ranks. I find this more equilibrating than having a Physical Level that might be higher and break the balance.
I think this will promote personalization even more.
ok first off why is all that time wasted? you leveled all these jiobs to get ur physical up so you still have all those jobs leveled? Wheres the waste in still having that? 2 im tired of people throwing around how since they have a 50 thm or w/e their level 1 gladiator should be better then anothers. Why? what does your knowledge of the magic arts automatically give u the know it all attitude of being able to swing a sword? A veteran carpenter isn't better at knitting a sweater then a novice knitter so whats your point?
No time has truely been wasted, a convoluted system was removed and each person will soon be able ti customize each class exactly how they want to without having to be a jack of all trades. some people dont like being middle of the road and this decision helps in everyone being able to play exactly how they want... and also you still get that advantage from your 50 jobs, just in skills u earned not in attributes you shouldnt actually hve when switching classes. Trust me, this game isnt hard you will still be able to solo to 50 whenevr you want...

Im glad to see it gone to be honest as said before it favors veteran players and to me the whole system is broken. The amount of points you can allot should be based on Class lvl from the start to balance out everyone. That and Class by Class allotment points you should be able to save them as sets so when you change jobs ~( from say Mrd to con you wont have a bunch of str stats)~ your stats will switch over to your pre saved allotment
