Interesting, I genuinely did not know this. I remember the very OBVIOUS teleporting mining bots from the early days of ARR but I didn't know about the RMT dungeon spam. I was wondering what all those black mage bots were doing standing around in Quarrymill...Actually the bot problem in FFXIV is pretty bad, the thing is, you don't see them, RMT work by spamming dungeons for gill, this is like 8+ at a time, in multiple groups, on all servers, this isn't even including all the harvest/mining bots, which is why you can go to the MB and see very large quantities of crystals/shards on sale. that no human would be able to get quickly doing manually. (unless they never sleep) or i would love to know someone who legit farmed 3000 crystals in a week.
They may not directly affect your gameplay. Which is why they go unnoticed/unreported (or slow to be dealt with)

You are either way out of touch or just making stuff up if you think that "content gating" is why WoD has issues.
Also, am I the only one sad that the, "WoW is losing subs because of something I personally don't like!" threads are here now, too?
well as someone who quit playing world of warcraft a while ago i'd have to say it's because...
heroic was too easy and the amount of time it took to manage and build a roster for mythic on such tight schedule on top of actually having a very demanding job was too difficult for me to even enjoy playing the game anymore.
When WoD launched Gladiator Warriors were great at 100 and people including other dumb ass Warriors were complaining about it, to which Blizzard responded it was meant to be a competitive spec. You know, right before they backpedaled and made it a dps spec for tanks who couldn't learn how to play a real DPS spec and reverted the knee jerk nerfs they put on Fury Warriors from the end of Siege. They didn't undo those changes until about a month after WoD's release.
professions were ruined and made unfun. Challenge Mode rewards sucked.
i actually dont play FFXIV anymore, but i've never really had a problem with the way things are done here besides raid gating. i certainly havent had any of these problems either.

Oh just wait, WoW is now copying FFXIV by removing the importance of gear in PvP because it's "Too hard to get into" thanks to gear disparity. Basically, the entire WoW PvP crowd is going to be gone as soon as Legion launches. This mentality of removing barriers for new players is killing MMO subs left and right. Why would people want to play a game long term if the results of that are completely diminished by new players getting insta leveled.
MMOs be on their deathbed folks, best prepare for the funeral and find another genre.
The only PvPers that are going to be leaving are the ones who are awful and can only get a kill when they're fighting opponents significantly weaker than them. Otherwise this is an excellent change, everyone is one the same level and more people are going to be willing to try PvP as they won't get obliterated as soon as they join.Oh just wait, WoW is now copying FFXIV by removing the importance of gear in PvP because it's "Too hard to get into" thanks to gear disparity. Yeah, they said that about Wolves Den and Frontlines... didn't work so well. Just about every person I know that did PvP quit with the nerf to Morale. If your success in PvP does not make you stronger in PvP what point is there in doing it? Oh... right... the same point as everything else in FFXIV GLAMOURS!The only PvPers that are going to be leaving are the ones who are awful and can only get a kill when they're fighting opponents significantly weaker than them. I left wow because I played it since it was first released. I got bored after 10 years xD
No, it's because they find it fun, but glamours can play a part into that. Why do people play TCGs, or multiplayer FPS games? Because they find it fun, the ranking system also makes you feel like you aren't entirely wasting your time though. The top PvPers in WoW don't do it to get better gear, they do it because they want to refine their skills, be the top player, etc. FFXIV's PvP was, and still is a joke, that's why it's dead. Long queue times and poor balance (and people complain about one racial skill in WoW...), not to mention that it plays significantly slower than other games (including WoW) due to the longer GCD.Yeah, they said that about Wolves Den and Frontlines... didn't work so well. I pretty much agree with all of that but PvP in an MMO needs to be more than just fun. Ranking systems is one way, gear progression is another and both is best. Aion had about the best example of PvP done right up until they started handing out PvP gear and points in PvE content. The nerf to Morale really pissed a lot of us off, however, in conjunction with all the win trading that occurred it was probably the right approach to take in the end. WoW may not lose a ton of people over this change but I assure you, there is already a lot of upset in regards to it.

I don't think so. WoW was back at 10 million subs at the start of the current expansion. Do you really think almost half of them quit because they felt suddenly old and tired (in about six months!) or because they suddenly discovered the joys of Facebook games? They quit for the reasons I listed in another post in this thread, i.e. devs dropping the ball. The MMO market is still there for developers who work well and listen to players.
